Does anyone know how to get the fan out? I took the arch liner off and disconnected the large screw/washer in the top corner (pictured) but I couldn't see any other screw or bolt that secured it? It definitely didn't want to budge after undoing it so there must be more to it.

Does anyone have a service manual or instructions?

It seemed like it was fixed to the radiator in front and would have to come out with it - is that correct?

The fan frame has two more for screws like this one that have to be removed, but first you have to remove the front bumper (you have videos on YouTube how to remove the front bumper) after removing the bumper you will have to remove the front lights very carefully (the video on YouTube also explains how to remove the optics) after removing the front optics you have to remove the plastic next to the optics, and only then look inside the car's chassis and remove one of the screws like this one at the top almost next to where the optics are located and another a little lower... ask for anything here and I'll try to explain it to you... this frame and the fan have to come out completely so that you can change the fan and it only comes out of the radiator when you unscrew this fan frame, be very careful with everything especially when removing the fan from the radiator... another thing before you start this service I advise you to first put the car in jack mode if the car has hydraulic suspension, and second disconnect the negative pole. from the 12 volt battery, then lift the front with two jacks with a capacity of at least 2.75 tons, one on each side and only then start the disassembly, which obviously starts with the hood...There is no way to disassemble this without removing the front wheels, side sills, etc., etc.

No, the fan does not come out with the radiator. The fan has an aluminum support and is attached to the radiator. When you remove these three screws from the support, unscrew the 3 screws from the fan and then unclip the fan support from the radiator. Pay close attention to the fact that at the top of the fan support there is a small screw that is tightened between the fan support and the radiator. Without removing this screw, the support will not come out of the radiator. Be careful when you unscrew it, you could break the screw. But before all this, you have to (remove the wheels, sills, sides and plastic front of the front trunk, remove the parking sensor plugs, remove the plug that connects the fan, remove the light plugs, remove the lights, disassemble the front plastic parts of the lights, disassemble the central plastic at the bottom that covers the ACC radar and the front camera, remove the front bumper and only then start to see where the screws are to disassemble the support. of the fan, because the one you unscrew is on the outside but there are two more like this one that are unscrewed at the front of the car that are taken to the front of the car as I explained previously then you will have to find the screw on the top of the fan support that fastens the support to the radiator and only when you disassemble all this you will go below the radiator and skeptically the radiator is supported on the fan support, you pull the radiator gently upwards and everything will come out slowly so you can change the fan...!!!!

the design and work on these fans... is something... and it's regrettable the way they are designed in a car of this value……??‍♂

Like mine. Utter junk. Seized solid in 2 years and 60k miles.

Not what I expected from my first Porsche.

My 7yo 135k miles "unreliable/poorly built" Tesla Model S cooling fans are still working perfectly.

Komplett Schrott.

Can anyone tell me with a photo the difference between v1 and v2 fans from the exterior. Is there a way to see the difference?
I have a 4S 102000km of 2021. Fans seems do run great. But, if those are gen1 they are bound to fail, and I’d like to replace them under warranty before it happens.

Keep in mind that it’s not just the fans that are different; Porsche redesigned the shroud to prevent most debris from reaching the fans. (Hopefully someone else can answer your question about the visual difference between v1 and v2 fans.)
