The onboard 2022 manual/instructions guide is incorrect (read not updated correctly) in respect formatting of USB devices (flash drives/thumb drives etc.).

I have a Samsung 0.5 terabyte flash drive formatted in Mac OSX extended format that reads with 100% no issue in the car - no compatibility issues whatsoever.

I am playing .m4v and .mp4 video files (and other formats) with no issues directly from this drive. The 'Technical data' advice in the manual (as with a couple of 3rd party videos posted here on the forum) state that your drive has to be in Windows exFAT, FAT, FAT32 or NTFS for it to work with the car - this is simply incorrect.

A heads-up if you are bugged about having to have multi-formatted drives for home computer and car :).
