Vehicle locked status within the connect app

Apologies if this has been asked, or indeed even answered, elsewhere.
My connect app always shows an unlocked padlock next to the parking brake symbol.
The first time I noticed this was a heart in mouth moment as I thought I had left my car unlocked. However the car was locked.

Messing around with the app I can get the car to lock and unlock remotely but the icon never changes. I do momentarily see a lock or unlock icon float above the door in the graphics of the car but that disappears real quickly. The main padlock icon never changes.
Is it me, the way the app was written, or a glitch?

It may be due to the lack of a separate parking brake. The app is used on vehicles with both Park and Brake. It bothers us to trust only one control to park the Taycan on a 17% grade (our street).
