I’ve searched quickly and couldn’t see a similar post.
A couple of times now I’ve pressed the boot close / lock button to lock the car, which it did then I get a beep and it unlocks. Nothing in the way. I also had my wife waiting for me in the car another time and the boot opened itself.
Not sure if it’s related but at the same time all of my apps have reverted the their factory positions.
Anyone similar?

Not sure this is 100% helpful, but if I press the button on the boot itself as I walk away, then click the lock button on the remote before the boot has close, I get a little chirp, but then the locking completes. So that indicates to me the chirp is a sort of 'pay attention'.

A few times I have clicked the lock button on the remote whilst the car is still powered on, and I get the chirp and it won't lock. That's maybe similar, so perhaps check that the car is now powered on when you do your sequence?

Can't help with experience on the factory resets, but the most annoying disappearing act I get every now and then is the stored home location disappearing from the inbuilt nav. Work location and all history still there, just home gone!

Echo this. The chirp is because a part of the car isn't closed completely before locking

Have you got comfort opening configured in the PCM? 'wave' boot unlocking, opening when you approach the car...etc etc. This may account for your boot opening issue?

I don’t think it’s any of those things. It’s also gone into privacy mode and I can’t log in or out of my account. Just sat in Porsche Sheffield AGAIN

Sounds like a software glitch.

The chirp rather than the boot closing alert when you use the foot gesture (only) is the same across the Porsche range where if any door, boot or bonnet isn't closed it will chirp.

Porsche said for some reason the car had stopped communicating with their server temporarily.

Definitely happens. Worth turning off and on again (turn off, get out, lock doors), or an engineering reboot failing that.

The things you mention still align with what we've said above tbh

Lets hope it is temporary. I had mine in to the Sheffield dealer recently to have the "comms module" replaced as it had stopped talking to it permanently. Seems ok now.

I think it is worldwide glitch - forced maintenance - I had it when I read the post and just checked now and app is fully functional again..

Should open a book and take bets to see if Porsche send an email to everyone explaining the unplanned outage....rank outsider I'd say!

It has happened to me a lot. My dealership had to replace my door handles which kinda sucks because I had to wait for them to arrive from Germany. Also the dealership had to paint them carrera metallic white which, of course, doesn't match the original paint perfectly. After a few years it still unlocks every now and then. Pretty lame if you ask me.
