There is Apple Music now as a new music source on a Rivian Gen 2 and maybe on Gen 1, but connectivity will not be free anymore.
However, one thing i disliked about Rivian infotainment is that they still have not released a music playback from USB as a source. What a simple thing to do. They already allow video from 5 cameras to record 5 separate streams onto USB storage, but not to play silly media files.

Apple Music and other stuff like that says nothing about CarPlay. Same with Apple watch/phone to unlock. Those are both supported completely outside of CarPlay.

I was hoping somebody could point me to Rivian stating the intent as part of the Gen2 announcements or Investment Day.
