It’s Turbo money, never mind GTS

I looked properly at US price spec for the first time.
Huge difference in UK and US prices!

Difference in base £83 to $103 is roughly equivalent to exchange rate.

But Extras in US are nearly double the number of $ to £.

If you guys over the pond check out how much cheaper Limeys get extras in the you will find them easier to resist!

That German car has Truffle Brown Olea Club leather (the highest quality option for Taycan). Not sure if that is the standard or deviated stitching.

Chalk paint was the hardest decision to swallow in my build, but it is what it is. The thing we do for love (Porsche color that we like).

Don’t go down this rabbit hole for comparing price cross-country though, you wouldn’t believe some of the up-charge in Asian countries…

all this waiting could drive one or two a bit unhinged. This forum partly serve as a Cuckoo's nest imho. What kind of normal person would pay this much money for adding bits and pieces to a transportation tool?

I love Chalk/Crayon.
Just ordered a GTS same colour as my 4S. I know. Boring *******!
Before GTS launch I had ordered a Turbo.
NOT Crayon…..
Because in UK Metallics are FREE on Turbo and Turbo S
(£774 on base and 4S and GTS)
BUT…..The 4 specials are STILL
£1683.
This annoyed me SO much I went for my second choice colour Cherry Red on a turbo because it was free!
Like a petulant child!

I meant that I think this is a troll thread. Could be wrong, but I suspected hooks in the water on the very first post.

Thanks..what’s a GTS build..I’m a novice..;I have now and want the power charge door..do I need a tech package..I think I’m ok with the premium package that has led matrix design ..PDLS+. No need to upgrade. In my taycan now it has spirt sound. Which I don’t use…thanks for your help..if any more suggestions I would appreciate them

Your starting model for your build is a Taycan 4s. It has a starting price of $103,800. You have added over $45,000 in options to that for a total of $147,820
Instead, you can start your build from a Taycan GTS model which starts at $131,400. This has a bunch of extras bundled in, so you may find that after you configure it to your liking, you add say another $20K in options. for a total of 151,400

The GTS option would be much better choice financially. When it comes time to sell 4yrs down the line, a potential buyer will look at these two cars as a $105K car, or a $130K car, ignoring your dollars spent on options for the most part.
You also feel a bit more pampered since you know you went for an upper-level model

The tech package may or may not be what you want. You should spec the items 1-by-1 and see the total $ change to your build compared to just the tech package. You may find that you'll get some extras for free if you just option the package, compared to the individual selection.

Looks good to me- was going to suggest Rear Steer but I see you've already ticked it.
Was going to suggest Neodyme trim before I saw the body colour door trims and think they look best.

On the configurator it's in the "Interior" section, a couple of options above your "Interior Accents in Exterior Colour". It's a goldish finish that goes well with Blackberry (especially with neutral body colours) to:

• Steering wheel trim
• Air outlet frames on dashboard
• Drive selector
• Cup holder trim (front)
• Accent trim on doors (front and rear)
• Accent trim on curved display
• Sport Chrono dial face (only in conjunction with Sport Chrono Package)

BUT...when you choose the door accents in exterior colour (which I think looks great on your build), all the other accents above are instead in Darksilver (no option to have Neodyme with exterior colour door accents).
