What triggers AC to turn on automatically?

On occasions when I turn on the car or randomly when it is already on the AC turns on automatically. Any one know what makes this happen?

Most of times I have the AC completely off, however sometimes I will turn it on to ECO if car is misting up.

Only noticed this recently when it just turns on itself sometimes which I find annoying.

Settings are on 22C Eco Mode.

Eco should still run the compressor. If you mean it turns it on when you aren't in the car, there's a comfort setting for that turns it on when the car unlocks.

Automatic climate control is going to automatic.

Sorry if the post is a bit confusing. I mean I want the whole climate control off without it automatically turning back on.



It's when I am in the car, not outside it.

There's a setting in the PCM that turns the climate control on to your set temperature when the key fob unlocks the door. Dig around in the settings for climate control and you'll see it. I'll take a picture later if I can. I think this is what you're talking about.
