I am retired so am normally home, I have never set a profile or timer I just plug it in when I think I may need it and unplug it when it gets to 80 to 85% unless I am going on a long journey.

I did think I would set a timer next time I wanted 100% so it gets there just-in-time hopefully with a battery temperature optimised.
After so many complaints about profiles and timers I decided to not bother so far.

I rather treat my car like all the others I have owned and only use any new features which have been introduced in recent years if they really seem worthwhile though.

My ChargePoint home charger is enrolled into the utility EV program... primarily limits full kW charging until after 7pm on occasion (e.g., really hot days). Otherwise, all of the charging parameters are coming from the car through a profile and timer. While I don't think much about it, I typically plug-in for the night after the set start time... never had an issue.
