What do you do with your Porsche Mobile Connector?

For those with a home charger, what do you do with the Porsche Mobile Charger and case?

As you know I have to challenge the reliability statement...this is a NA specific problem.
Agreed that NA Porsche EVSE were particularly poorly designed in terms of hardware functionality. The physical design (largest, heaviest mobile EVSE I ever came across), and online part I suspect are shared though. Does the PMCC online integration/app work better than MyPorsche app control of the car, which is far from solid, reliable performance, and it routinely "lies" about the car's status (including location), is unable to control the car despite the car being parked in 100% cellular coverage? The reliability of the MyPorsche, at least for me, seems to go in waves, working for few weeks, complete crapshoot for one or two weeks, back to working most of the time again (perhaps whenever someone decides to restart the servers?).

The previous owner of my car had the power cord recall and I've seen firmware updates on the PMCC. It's been happily feeding electrons to my Taycan (and service loaners) for 6,142 kWh and counting. Once or twice the charging was interrupted due to the PMCC overheating inside the dock (?); I've added a USB fan inside the dock and it's been solid.

My other EV, a Model 3, is plugged into a Tesla Gen 2 Wall Connector. Both are plugged nightly and have been equally reliable.
So you are using the PMCC after 3 or 4 dealer applied recalls (if it has a new cable with temperature sensor). How many recalls did the Tesla Wall Connectors have and does it require you to install a USB fan to work equally reliable? (I know the answers are "zero" and "no", so these are rhetorical equations ;)). Also, PMCC is a mobile EVSE, so comparison in terms of size, and usability should be to Tesla Mobile Connector. Tesla Wall Connector is comparable to Porsche Wall Charger Connect (PWCC).

I agree Porsche knows how to make pretty looking things.

I'm in the minority and use the PMCC in the Porsche Charging Dock as my primary EVSE. ...
Ditto (only I don't bother with the dock - maybe if one comes up cheap when I rebuild my garage).

Thanks for the replies, all. 'Till now I carried it around in the frunk, but seeing the majority of people leave it behind, I'll do that instead. Besides, I picked up the Porsche NACS adapter, so I have access to the largest, most reliable charging network in the US!

That is huge! That closes the loop on full NACS support.

Plug&Charge for Tesla Superchargers also works for the Macan

we can anticipate day 1 support for the Cayenne EV and 718 EV also - this is great

two north American P&C networks

EA and Tesla

charging is getting better not worse…
