White Taycans crash more!

I was on Autotrader in the US and I noticed a trend. To confirm, I searched RWD 2022 and 2023 Taycans nationwide. In this pool, 10 out of 135 for sale have an accident history and 35 out of the 135 are white.

Of the accident cars,
1 is silver
1 is blue
8 are white

By Bayes Rule, if you drive a 2022 or 2023 RWD that is white, you have a 23% chance of getting in an accident. This versus the 10/135 = 7% chance for all 2022 and 2023 RWD cars. Several of the white RWDs are in Florida - a retirement state. My wife says white is the color for retired old men. Silver isn't far behind.

Bayes takes care of that. Sure, 26% are white, but 80% of the crashed ones are white. If it weren't a factor those numbers would be about the same.

I saw two dogs today and both were Yorkies.

Ok I'm sorry about what I said about Florida. But I understand there are many white cars there, driven by old men that honk when they go though intersections. Like my father-in-law.

Just for fun, I counted how many white cars I could recall owning - 16. Two accidents (1 I was ran off the road on a highway - minor damage (body panels, paint, and suspension arm), the other my wife was PIT'ed by a drunk driver at highways speeds - car totaled). I only owned 1 black car, also in accident - dealer disabled hood latch, which opened at highway speeds taking out the front windshield and sunroof - didn't hit anyone and dealer happily swapped the car for a brand new same model (2 years newer), but red, for almost just tax an registration, in exchange for me letting them handle the damage and not reporting it to insurance. No accidents with the red car. Had 2 silver cars, 1 had an encounter with a deer - minor damage (new bumper, new headlight IIRC, but car still made the remaining 2,000 miles of the road trip before those repairs). 1 red car, no accidents. 1 beige metallic , no accident either.
Accident rates per color:
White - 2/16 (13%)
Silver - 1/2 (50%)
Black - 1/1 (100%)
Red - 0/1 (0%)
Beige Metallic - 0/1 (0%)

So statistically safest colors for me, Red and Beige. Most dangerous - Black. White is low danger. Silver seems a but risky. Full disclosure -currently driving a white Taycan.

It's just corelation.

Most taycans sold are white, because the concept car was white and the reveal of the car was white. The mission E wheels, which were the only new wheels for porsche in a while, were also white.

So safe to assume, since a lot of the taycans are white, especially early ones, most crashed taycans would also be white

No I already explained that in #4 above. A white RWD Taycan is three times as likely to have been in an accident than the general pool. That accounts for the disproportionate higher number of white RWDs in the pool. Autotrader lists practically all cars besides local private sales, so it is a decent sample.

I have a white cross turismo turbo S and if I crash, it will be because of the Turbo S and not the color of the car!

My 2022 CT is white. It's wrapped in blue. I'm unclear if I'm screwed or ok. Please advise asap.

Yes, not the color itself. My title is misleading. White is generally a safer color. My hypothesis here is that of buyers of RWD Taycans, people who buy a white RWD Taycan are three times more likely to have been in an accident (present company excepted of course). It’s not that white isn’t safe, it’s the drivers who choose white RWD.
