Windshield washer jets lag / slow response

Since summer I have been experiencing a small lag when using my windshield jet washers, usually after a long parking pause, especially first thing in the morning. It also started to be more often and longer of a lag. Dealer said they couldn’t see anything wrong or replicate the issue when the car was last with them. The service advisor said when I show this video that it’s normal and it’s expected the water to need time to travel. Honestly this is the first time since owning 10 different cars and driven most probably 100 different cars that I am experiencing this. The car runs out its factory warranty soon and I don’t want to go through the route of the extended warranty if it becomes worse.

Forgot to mention that I have been only using de ionised water, or water from dehumidifier and only Porsche liquid. I also did a full clean circle with a bit of warm water as advised by the dealer.

Did it ever work better than that? I have had 2 Taycans, MY22 and MY23. The first was a bit like that, the second car the water came straight away. I assumed they had added a non-return valve into the circuit so that there is always water in the tubing. If yours has changed then maybe there is a non-return valve that has failed. If it was always like that then maybe there isn’t one at all

No it was not like that in the beginning and mine is a MY22

Maybe my first car was faulty then

It is necessary to replace the washer tank motor. Two years ago there was such a problem after the glass washer fluid froze. Replaced under warranty.

I have a slight delay on my front washers, and an insane delay for the rear camera washer. Sometimes I have to press 3 or 4 times before anything comes out and then it stops letting me do any more
