Greetings everyone,

Is it ok install a square wheel winter set on a 2020 Taycan 4S. I was thinking of a 19” setup. I have the car for a short period and I will need to purchase winter tires. The car is currently on 21 inch wheels, and don’t want to buy an expensive staggered set. It’s much easier to find a used same size set of tires and wheels. thanks

Yes, I’ve run a square 19” setup for two years now with some spacers on the rear. No problems so far, have had the setup on a CT4 and GTS ST.

I would imagine the only problem would be the ABS, traction control and stability control may not work optimally with an unexpected grip ratio front to rear but if you don't drive on the limit that isn't likely to be a problem very often.

Many thanks. Glad to hear that it’s possible.

There wasn't much discussion on this topic, but I'm interested in it for a different reason. I usually have a complete set of separate wheels/tires for winter driving from summer driving, and I swap the wheels every October and April. When I do long road trips, I like to have a full-size spare wheel/tire thrown in the back, so in summer, I'll have a winter wheel/tire in the back, and in winter I'll have a summer wheel/tire in the back cargo area -- so I don't have a ruined trip in case of a flat tire.

I don't know if there are any Taycan wheel/brake/caliper experts here, but does anybody know if it would be best to bring a rear wheel/tire or a front wheel/tire as a spare? I suppose that this mainly has to do with brake calipers fitting or not fitting. I assume from the above comments in this thread that a rear wheel will fit on the front and a front wheel will fit on the rear, in terms of the lug bolts fitting. And I'm rather guessing that a rear wheel will fit on the front with respect to the brake calipers but am not sure about a front wheel fitting on the rear with the calipers there. Any ideas from forum members?

thanks
