The HEM is not that expensive but there are other non Porsche choices. Perhaps check that the other EVSEs provide all that you would need and don't make assumptions on other pre-requisites.
For now you just need a dedicated 32A fused supply installed and then connect your free PMC+ job done for now with no further outlays. This is an evolving market and tech will get better so there may be advantages to waiting besides the supply installation with be the same so perhaps recheck the cost calcs.
