Here is your very first look at the 2020 Porsche Taycan caught benchmarking against a Tesla Model S P85D!

The Taycan prototypes were driven by Porsche engineers and spotted near the top of the famous Stelvio Pass in Italy.

Nice spotting on the stunning Stelvio! Surprised they weren't testing against latest gen P90D. But hey if the Taycan can accelerate like the P85D and handle and look better, I'm not complaining

You can tell even thru all the camo that the Taycan will look much better than the Model S. Look how much lower it sits too. Model S looks like a crossover next to Taycan.

The roofline is definitely lower and sleeker than the Model S. Taycan is going to be a looker.

I would be disappointed if it ended up looking like this test car. That's a quite a bit different from the white concept car.

It is not sure the refresh will be next year, it may be a year later.

Don't worry it will beat the Tesla in any categories.
For example in form of recuperation. If you speed to max. with an tesla 10 times in a row you will have a performance loss of about 50% after the 4th time or so (because of the batterie and e-motor). With the technics of the Taycan you can easily do this 10 times in a row with the same performance every time.
And speaking about performance: 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) can be done with the top model Taycan in about the same time as the 911.2 GT2 RS...
You can be sure this car will change the BEV market
