I’m going full black on black turbo s.

Unfortunately I’ve not retired just yet and have to park at clients houses in the UK. Not sure how most of them would get on with mamba / white / ice which would have been my colours of choice otherwise.

based on your choices, I'd go with Dolomite silver - as scientific and futuristic looking as the car is.

Black/Bordeaux matches well too... In the case if you want to avoid full black.

I feel your pain. I had the same experience.
I wanted something less flashy to avoid jealousy issues with customers, staff, family etc
So we agonised for ages and ended up in dolomite - get the vehicle in 2 weeks
If you look at the colour threads you get to see all the colours on real cars and it does help make your mind up for you.

Not boring at all.

Shows off lines of the car

Very classy

Dolomite is in my view one of the better silvers in the Porsche line. Some don’t like the slight blue hue.

I have a dolomite CT to be delivered in January.

good thinking. Like volcano too, hard choice between those two. In dolomite the car looks bigger, in volcano younger (I’m 36)

Ice Grey for me too! I went around and around about it…Volcano, to Mamba, Gentian, White, and then really noticed Ice Grey in this forum and started checking it out. I’ve only seen it online and on a sample, and haven’t received my car yet, so praying it’s as sweet in person as it seems! Have you gotten your yet? I’ve had two sales agents at two separate dealerships (one on NYC and one in CA) unsolicited tell me that they thought Ice was the best color for the Taycan… not that it matters, just thought it was kind of cool haha
Haven’t gotten it yet, but saw one in the dealer. Was set on Carrara white until I saw the ice grey one.
I also think it’s the best color. there was a cool video in this forum that showed it really nicely.

It’s a great color without being in your face. If you don’t want to attract a ton of attention but don’t want the same old black or white, it’s a good choice.

2p worth. I've got a Mamba green Turbo on order (i'm not saying get that as I know it's a bit loud), but I was toying with Crayon/Chalk instead.

I've been to Leeds, Manchester and Sheffield porsche in the UK, just to see all the colours in the flesh. What I can say is Crayon isn't a "special" colour, not by any measure. In fact it is hands down the most common colour at all porsche dealerships I visited this year. Caymans, macans, taycans, all crayon with "exclusive" black pack.

Now, I understand the urge to buy an exclusive colour, so PTS does make sense to me (even though the cost is frankly crazy). But crayon is just not special any more, there are just too many crayon cars out there.

Mamba green, never seen it on a full car. But the swatch in the dealer looks nothing like any pics you see online. It has more gold it it. I took a video of the swach on my (relatively new) iphone and the camera just colour corrects it and it looks different. The swatch looked great though and almost has some gold on the paint flip

Coffee beige I have seen 1 (actually looks good in the flesh, but people pair them with brown interior and wood and I'm sorry but that's 1980s old man and this is a 2022 electric porsche.

Frozen blue I've seen one . I'm not a fan. It's a dainty colour and the Taycan is such a brute it looks wrong. Yes on a renault Alpine.

Cherry Red. I've seen one in the flesh and they also look good. But I think they need pairing with mission E wheels and full black pack. And in the UK the flat light (ie never any sun) just makes the car look brown.

Mahogany brown, never seen one. It's a ballsy move. OK if you're buying for long term ownership and it's a very cool f-you move. But your resale will take a hit for sure.

Carmine Not as nice as guards red and more money. But I've only seen about 3. With full sport design in glass black and all black mission E wheels, it did look good. I wouldn't go carmine unless I was hitting a full sporty look.

Neptune Blue Ditto carmine

Ice grey. Just looks like metallic white. Again, these "special" colours are no more special than the "regular" metallics. I drove an ice grey 4S in leeds. Looks OK.

Dolomite Silver. Safe choice, nice paired with red interior for a classic look, although not as nice as GT silver. Does Not hide the size of the car well. Loats of silver cars about

Jet black. Loads of these about. They do look good though. If you can get one, get it ceramic coated so it stays clean. Not sure if I've ever seen a gloss black car in the flesh

Carrera White. Classic porsche colour, makes the taycan look biiiig in real life though. Allows for lots of interior options like blackberry which is pretty unique. Never seen regular "white" car.

Gentian Blue and Volcano grey. A bit boring and look like colours from any other manufacturer. But they are safe. I saw a truly stunning Turbo S in the showroom in leeds in volcano.

Just my opinion. OK, hit me!

thanks for the large review. But even now, I really don’t know what’s the best choice for me. It shouldn’t be too special as I don’t want to stand out too much. But it should be classy, headturning but not too macho…

Well, for me, with that thought in mind, it's Jet black. Just add a nice interior or even just something simple like the gold interior accent on black leather.

I think the OLEA Atacama beige looks great against Jet black. But no gold bits please.
