My car is on the SFL conductor, and for the longest time it said it looked like it’s gonna come to port at Baltimore. But recently the estimated time of arrival on TYD has changed from end of December to first week of January.
Furthermore, TYD shows the car coming through Houston, not Baltimore, and then coming to the dealership in Chicagoland.
My dealer said he expects the car mid December but that’s almost 3 weeks off from what TYD is saying.
Anyone else seeing this?
I know the area, VW built a new PDI center at the old Bethlehem steel sparrows point site. The state has been redeveloping the site. I don't know of any camera's.Sounds like you know the Baltimore port. Any idea where the SFL Conductor will dock? Any live cams of the port area?
Here’s hoping it’s a glitch on TYD side!I'm seeing the same thing. I'm in Baltimore, TYD a couple weeks ago said 12/10 delivered to the dealer. Now it says shipping to the dealer on 12/31 and arriving on 1/7/22. On the TYD map it shows the ship going to Baltimore, but our car is being unloaded in Houston and being trucked up to Baltimore. I'm banking on the car being at the dealer by 12/10, there's no outstanding campaigns. My dealer is ~20 miles from the port.
Lets hope those cars onboard are well tied down.Happy Thanksgiving all!
SFL Conductor Position and Weather Update - Nov 25 07:20 USCT:
Still at relatively slow pace 14.5 knots and experiencing gale force winds (30+knots) on voyage to Haifax
Indeed - these ships can of course handle these sea states but a bit nerve racking nonethelessLets hope those cars onboard are well tied down.

Here's an image of the VW center in Baltimore - I've dug out a few vessel schedules from the Port Authorities but as yet have not discovered a listing for the Conductor - shouldn't be this hard!
The MyShipTracking site still has a list of expected arrivals in Baltimore but again not listing the SFL Conductor - they may be parsing a particular database and no idea how comprehensive that is ...
Perhaps the incoming list only includes ships that are directly headed for Baltimore, not ones that are enroute to other ports first, like SFL Conductor. Until SFL Conductor is ready to depart Halifax, may not schedule arrival at Baltimore.May need to focus on the shipping line itself ... I guess you could just call them![]()
Except that I can see the berth that the SFL Conductor is assigned to in Houston for this same voyage, right - who knows?Perhaps the incoming list only includes ships that are directly headed for Baltimore, not ones that are enroute to other ports first, like SFL Conductor. Yep - see my comments in post #729 and #730 - to get info outside 24 hrs notice you need to subscribe.Looks like Tradepoint Sparrows Point has its own berths. Shown as a privately operated port. Marinetraffic site has an anchor symbol on its map called "Sparrows Point". And, the dock looks long enough to berth two RORO ships.![]()
