Safety Recall 2021 Hazard Light Activation issue

I got a letter from Porsche about a week ago. According to the NHTSA the recall was issued on October 31, so a six week delay.
My dealer was able to arrange for the required software fix in about 2 weeks. I was told it will take more than one day to service. I don’t remember seeing this recall mentioned on the Forum. Go to NHTSA.gov to check your vehicle. Or get the app.

Yes it was well documented here (AMC1) - search for it.

Not a major drama - just a reprogramming of the hazards under emergency braking / pre-collision - didn't comply to US markt (RoW - it was fine).

I never even got a notification. I just brought my car in to get winter tires put on, and they did the recall. It takes one hour, not one day.

It takes less than 90 minutes. This is a very minor software update compared to the big one earlier. There also is no safety urgency involved as it is an adjustment to comply with obsolete US regulations.

Guess the dealership just figured they'd get ahead of the game while they could. Good on them, in that case.

My notice is dated 12/2 and I received it 12/9. Since my dealer is 45 miles away, I won't be going in anytime soon. I'll wait for some other issue to come up first.

Well I have not had it done yet and I will say that last week, while stopped at a red light, my hazard lights suddenly came on and flashed rapidly (much faster than the normal rate when pressing the button) for about 5 seconds, and then turned off. Not a good or even safe thing to be happening when other drivers are around.
