Two-part question for the group - do cap cost reductions (like the $7500 credit on a lease) essentially make the leases buyout less by the amount of the reduction, everything else equal?

If yes, can we just take the cap cost reduction as a lease and then just turn around and immediately buyout the lease?

Actually 3-part question -

Are taxes paid on a lease buyout? (I need to ask this since Georgia charges all lease taxes upfront)

Baltimore here we come! Both Marine Traffic and Maritime Optima are showing 12/23 arrival. But the times are not the same one says 08:00 the other says 21:00. Let's see how quick she can move.

Things look good! SA is in open ocean proceeding south on a course of 160 degrees at a speed if 14.7kn.

My guess is on the way to Baltimore. If SA was going to wait out some weather it would have done so by anchoring in Halifax harbor.

SA just updated its ETA for Baltimore to Dec 23 at 9:00pm

Things look really good for Dec 23 Baltimore and Dec 25 Jacksonville. SA is cruising along at 15kn headed to Baltimore. Neither the GFS (USA weather forecasting service nor the ECMWF (European weather forecasting service) models are predicting any wind or waves that would be a problem for SA.
