Thought I'd mention that, contrary to advice I had received here a few months ago on whether or not you could set up the car's Homelink connection to open two openers with a single click and even more relevantly for me, assign a free button to simply tap once to open.

Well I managed to setup both of these conditions up on my first attempt and of course have this geo-located. I have a driveway gate and a garage door opener assigned to a single Homelink entry in the PCM to which I then assigned to my custom dashboard key (Rhombus). Now just one tap of that button (no long press required) and both units operate every time - very happy!

Mine is a 2022 CT 4S so perhaps the HomeLink feature has been improved/updated from earlier versions where apparently this was not possible.

PS: Separate (well worn) topic: If any of you 2022 owners have managed to get you Profile registered I'd love to hear back - no success to date but really the only single issue I have.

EDIT-UPDATE: Profile sorted - simply needed a PIN code from Porsche and re-registered - solved :)

So do you have your gate and garage at different GPS locations and it's smart enough to know which signal to send?

I'm asking because I have two garage doors that are about a block or so apart; hoping that when I push the diamond dash button that it will send the signal based on knowing which garage door I'm approaching - rather than just present me with a multiple choice question and no option to eliminate two wrong answers or phone a friend.

Does anyone know what the GPS radius when using this function?

No admittedly my situation is very favorable in that the driveway gate is less than 20 yards/meters from the garage door - any further than that and you may well encounter hit and miss results if both being activated from one HomeLink button and in your case suspect you may have to stick with two separate assignments.

Alternately (as I suspect it is doing for me) it may well simply just send out both signals every time it is pushed - so if your two openers are far enough apart (out of typical range of each other) then you may simply have to tap the assigned custom button each time you approach each separate gate/garage door - all signals sent each time but the opener that is out of range in each case will simply not receive it's signal. Might work?

When you say your Porsche profile registered, do you mean login with it to your car?

If so, my dealer connected my main profile at the dealership. For the secondary profile, I had my wife create a profile and then I had to add her a secondary user on my profile. Once I did that, she was able to log into the car.

Yes I meant your first time primary login - your MyPorsche ID when you used the PCM setup assistant for the first time in the car.

So the fact that yours went seamlessly is problematic for me as it might suggest they have to muck with my account to get this thing to register with the car - I was hoping that there was a common back end server issue right now and that other very recent 2022 owners were all having the same issue - wishful thinking on my part :)!

So it’s possible to assign two signals to one profile? Sorry, don’t have vehicle yet so can’t tinker to figure it out :)

Two signals to a Homelink assignment in the PCM - apparently yes!

TBH I really was unaware of this and not even trying to accomplish it, and to be entirely frank, I had tried multiple times to attach the gate and garage units separately but the gate for some reason was being problematic.

I only then recalled that you had to long press the HomeLink button once set up in the PCM for it to activate and at that point when I did a long press of my new HomeLink assignment in the PCM both gate and garage opened synchronously - totally surprised me.

I suspect as I had both units operating from a single multi-button remote this had something to do with. Cannot recall exactly unfortunately the sequence of steps I performed but somehow in pressing and holding the gate button remote it got mapped to the already assigned garage key in the PCM - apologies for not being more precise but again, I myself am not actually 100% sure how the heck it did that!

Hey forgot to ask - did you already have a MyPorsche ID setup before you attempted to run the setup assistant in the car i.e. were you tracking via TYD and a MyPorsche ID your car before you actually received it?

I ask as this was certainly the case for me but was wondering if when ID's are set up before car delivery and don't receive that special PIN code email from Porsche to those who set up their Porsche ID's at the dealership, that this might in some way 'confuse' the servers into not properly linking a pre-delivery MyPorsche ID to the owner's car. Grasping at straws!

I did have my Porsche ID setup before hand and my dealer linked my car to my current ID. The funny thing is my Porsche ID now shows my car and still shows my TYD status as if it doesnt know the two are the same.

For me it’s the phase as still ‘ in prod’ (!) but actually TYD was fairly accurate!

visiting dealer tomorrow to see what we can do - suspect sod all ad a Porsche server issue!

I agree with the OP. I set up Homelink for our home garage doors, and also assigned to my joker cluster button and it's worked like a dream. It actually works far better than my actual garage door opener remote themselves. I have far greater range with homelink, and it's more reliable than using my dedicated remotes. It's definitely really enjoyable to have ease of access now.

Here is a number you can use to text to Porsche support:
1-800-767-7243
When I picked up my car this past Saturday, I couldn't log in with my email address and password. My sales advisor called Porsche and they suggested I text them. I did and by the next morning, my login was working. As part of the text message I attached a screen shot of the Connection screen which has the circle "Moblie device", "Taycan_number_5GHz", "Taycan", "Porsche server". The "Taycan" to "Porsche server" was greyed out until Sunday morning.

At the dealership the SA wiped out the Taycan config and changed my password. I then texted al these details. I'm not sure which step did the trick.

How did you set up Homelink exactly. In the manual, it says to follow the instructions on the screen and to use the remote opener to start the setup.... I am surprised as usually with the rotating code systems, you have to use the learning button at the back of the garage door opener module. ???

Can you have two homelink button set up? I have two garage doors and I do not want to have both opening at the hit of the homelink button..

Thanks

I too assumed I'd be mucking around with the learning buttons etc, but my SA had told me bef I left with the car yesterday, to simply take you current remote and start the PCM process and when asked simply click the relevant old remote button and hold until the PCM recognizes the signal (mine is based on raoming codes too) and that was all there was to it - there is a testing phase in the PCM process etc. - all very self explanatory. As I mentioned it took a few tries to get my driveway gate to be recognized but it too was grabbed in the end. Truly a painless experience.
