He told me the money factor months back and I forgot. I know it should be .002 but I have a feeling they’re gonna mark it up. Porsche Perimeter quoted me .00325. I remember because it was so bad. I can’t remember Hennessy.

Which were you quoted?
I haven’t asked for a quote yet. I was waiting to do more research and see what others were quoted. I hear .002 should be the fair rate based on other forums.

Question for everyone here... What do you do for work? I work in business strategy consulting.
I'm tech entrepreneur, on to a new adventure now... Should be interesting to have a Taycan atlanta group. We might bump into each other when the cars finally arrive!

Georgia’s Own Credit Union has some very good rates. But after a certain point, the benefits diminish. For instance, Their rate would only save me like $6/month from my current rate, at which point it’s not worth the hassle.

How low did BofA go on their rate?

2.29 @ 72 months, and I think 2.09 ish @ 60
Months. Mine (2.29%) includes a platinum client discount.
Nice! Tough to beat that one. Unfortunately, I don’t bank with BofA nor do I have a Merrill brokerage account. Best I could find is 2.99. Thanks for info!

I’m a dentist. First Porsche and first EV. I’m a sucker for hatchbacks, so the CT was a no brainer. It’s like the boys up in Stuttgart took a peek into my brain and designed exactly the car I wanted.

As far as the rate from BoA I was able to get 2.04 for 60 months. Locked in for 30 days. They had a .20 promotional discount running until 12/8. I have no accounts with them anymore, so that didn’t play in to the rate. (I financed my first dental office through them but that was 2006.)

Yeah, I missed that extra .20 promo because I hesitated. It would have put me at 1.74 if I did a 60 month, or 2.09 @ 72 months. If you look at the difference in payment for either term, it's negligible though.

SA is less than 200 miles from Baltimore and will be pulling into Baltimore at 10pm to day which means a Dec 25 arrival at Jacksonville still looks very good.

I was just talking with my dealer about a Taycan that had just been delivered to the dealership. On the website it looked like a good alternative for the one I have coming on SA. But, alas, it was not the configuration I really wanted.

But in the course of the conversation I asked about who hires the trucks that deliver the cars to the dealership. It is Porsche who hires the trucks, not the dealer. Hard to say how this might affect invoicing.

But I also found out that recently the software the dealer uses to track deliver changed a few months ago and now the dealer has no idea when the cars will be delivered until the truck pulls in. The earlier version of the software sent an email to the dealer when the car was loaded onto the truck, it no longer does that.

I'm hopeful that since Porsche owns the ship and manages the truck logistics, they will coordinate to get the trucks loaded. From what I've heard from my SA, Porsche invoices the dealer when there is some trigger event at the port - not sure what that trigger event is. I believe Porsche (VW) wants invoicing to happen by 12/31 as they report earnings.

Also, I checked port congestion in Jacksonville. There is literally no congestion per the MarineTraffic (see screenshot).

Porsche FS lease money factor at my dealer in Ohio is .0023. Guy at lease subforum on edmunds.com seems to report base money factor for 2022 Taycan 4S is .002. Apparently can be variation by geographic region since people requesting lease numbers provide mail zip codes.

Again, in my role as Danny Downer :) , when Porsche invoices a dealer and when the dealer finds out they have been invoiced are two different things. In most of our dealings with computers it seems like when an event happens everyone sees it at the same time. But that isn't really the case. In fact some companies put manual steps in financial processing that could easily be automated because they don't trust full automation. And even if they do full automaton it can be amazing how long it can take for a simple piece of data to wind its way through a fully automated process.

For example at the port there is probably some worker with a portable bar code reader strapped to his waist swiping Mulroney labels. Lots of inventory is checked like this. But that reader might not be dumped until the worker gets back to some office, and then that data might not be uploaded to the mother ship until... you get the idea. The only thing the accountants care about is the actual time when things happed, not when a transaction happened to be physically posted to a ledger.

In any case I don't think we are going to end up doing the "pay on dock" experiment for our cars unless something really strange happens.
