this is the new plate as of 12/28. If I had got my car on schedule, I would have missed this….

Since you will be one of the first in your area to have the new plate design, instead of people following your car thinking "Wow, what a sharp-looking car, wonder what model it is", they will think "Ugh, WTF is that license plate?"

I always thought NJ’s plates were ugly colored but after seeing this new OH plate I’ll take NJ... Funny enough I just got the personalized plates in the mail that I ordered for my TTS. The front one won’t go on though.

TN has about 50 specialty plates to choose from, anything other than the standard plate adds at least a $30 up charge to the yearly registration. I’d be shocked to find out Ohio would forgo a similar revenue stream.

In other plate issues, TN denied “LETITGO” for our Frozen Blue 4S. They said it was offensive. So we had to choose an alternate. My wife’s name is Yvi (pronounced like EV), so we made it “YVIS EV”, they didn’t find anything offensive in that. Thankfully they just changed the standard plate to a dark blue that should look pretty good on the back of our FBM 4S.

Yeah, there is another charge for a personalized plate, but I counted, we have roughly 120 different plates available. From different organizations to schools, charities, etc. Here’s just a sample as an example. Each can then be personalized, how many letters depends on the plate, generally 5-7 letters

Friend has a Range Rover sport that has an electric engine for a bit of extra go when accelerating hard (petrol has to always run). They classified if as a hybrid so he got hit with it too!!

At first, I thought they were stupid. But after seeing one, I think they make a huge improvement aesthetically. Especially on a car like a taycan, i think it fits the innovative theme. Metal plates with different colored stickers just don’t look as smooth imo

Gotcha. Could see that. Just rear or getting front and back? What color Taycan are you getting and what color scheme do you plan to rock on the license plate most of the time?
