Loving him is like driving a new Maserati down a dead-end street

Those must be some special wheels to squeeze fuel from an EV :giggle:
That is what they called it on the window sticker. I also enjoy flooring the gas pedal on my Taycan Turbo.

Fellow mamba + truffle here ?

I’d just get them painted black aftermarket, but I think the red calipers would look better than you expect. There’s several mamba on Bordeaux red interiors on here and the “watermelon” look is surprisingly nice
Hi Foreal
Thanks, could you please send me some photos of the mamba and truffle combination with doors open on your car, please? I've found it difficult to see this combination! Do you still love your choice?
Thanks!

Mine doesn’t arrive until April, but after reading literally every review about the truffle being so good, I’m very happy with my choice. Plus the green+brown combo is classic

I am looking at ordering a mamba green 4s. However, it comes with red calipers. I don't want to pay over 2k for the white surface coated calipers and think it's a bit cheeky of porsche to charge for the "downgrade" colour of black calipers. I'm not the greatest fan of red and green together, though my wife tells me the rear light is red, as are the reflectors, and the badge (partially).

My interior is going to be truffle, so I don't want too many colours in the mix. I'm ordering the Spyder 21 inch wheels. What are everyone's thoughts on this colour mix?

Red flowers all grow on green plants, I have no problem with red and green, though I do prefer the black.
OTOH the dark rear windows look truly hideous and completely ruin the line of the car, almost nauseating to me!

Haha, I've seen in other posts that you aren't a fan of the dark rear windows! I've never actually considered taking them off the build to see what is like without!

If the wheels were black, it’d be OK with red calipers, but given you’ve got silver wheels, blacked out accents, mamba and brown interior… red is too much!
Not sure brown works with green but that’s personal - there’s one that’s been under-priced for weeks for sale and is still there despite a drop in £10k since it popped up, so watch out for resale if that’s of interest!

I went to look at that car to see if I liked the truffle and green and that combination looked super to me.
I was slightly tempted but they are 18 way seats which I find tight on a long journey, had roof rails and a glass roof which i don't like and the off road plastic additions which I hate so wasn't convinced. Basically the car had several options I don't want and only one I did, quite a weird spec regardless of colour.
But since I am bored by having black interior for decades I have been considering truffle for my Mamba CT 4S, my other considerations are Blackberry and chalk/beige.
None of those go with red calipers but I won't be looking at both together!

Yes dark back windows make even a nice car look like a van to me, particularly if the car is black or dark grey!

Glad you liked the combination. That's the beauty of these cars - you can spec them however you like, and we're all different!
My consideration was for my kids - with the pano roof they're going to have quite a lot of sunlight coming in already and there's no shade on it, so darkening the windows made sense.

Did the neodyme accents suit the truffle and mamba?
I think they look quite bright in the configurator, but seem to look a little more muted in photos

It is more muted than in the configurator, I had chosen dark silver in the configurator because the Neodyme looked OTT but it was actually nice and I will stick with Neo if I eventually choose truffle.
My current choice is Blackberry with Neodyme though :)

Thanks, I am erring toward neodyme too.
Blackberry is a bold choice but I think you'll love it! Our other car has an all black interior, which looks good but is a bit boring. Life is too short, it's the seat you'll be sitting in every day, so you need to go for a choice that'll make you happy.

That’s an interesting feedback as it seems you enjoy the stuff I don’t and vice versa! Which is exactly why Porsche is great - we’ll still end up buying the same car, but not looking the same and for very different reasons!

I wouldn’t buy at all without pan roof / bars, like the Off-road pack and can’t imagine not having privacy glass (+ front).

I would have considered truffle with Crayon paint if it wasn’t yet another step up in cost, but it definitely is closer to a GT feel rather than sporty.

What’s interesting is that on the second hand market, only a handful of Porsche have a daring / slightly different spec, while reading around here makes you wonder if you should rethink your whole build 10 times a week as many people have very cool specs!

I’ve tinted every one of my cars in the past, but contemplating skipping it on the Taycan. The no tint look can look really classy on some cars, better than tinted. I’m thinking the Taycan specifically in this color way might be one of them. 2 months til I get to see for myself!

Putting a positive spin on that...maybe the owners of the more adventurous specs aren't as keen to change their vehicle?
