Hotel in the Lake District - recommendation?

I am planning a trip to Glasgow and thought I would break the journey in the Lake District.
Can anyone recommend a hotel that offers charging (paid or complimentary)?

Plenty of charging points but definitely recommend Samling Hotel and Gilpin Lodge you will not be disappointed

Another shout for the gilpin - it’s great. Just up the road from there is Linthwaite House which we liked even more. The newer Fell suites are stunning.

They’ve got on site charging or there’s an instavolt setup in booths car park in Windermere if you need something faster.

Daffodil hotel is lovely and in a good location, but no idea if they have car charging or not. I’d be surprised if they didn’t!

Langdale Chase also excellent not sure of Daffodil as needs investment rather tired hotel just personal view

I spent a few nights in Keswick at the Inn on the Square in 2019. Loved the town (great people, pubs & restaurants). Hotel was great but parking was a bit tight. Big parking lot behind the hotel in case you want some space for your car. No current data on charging stations, but Keswick is one of the larger towns in the Lake District so good probability of multiple charging options.

BTW, the "B" roads are pretty tight in the Lake District (1.5 lanes) so the Taycan will need to be navigated with care.

Another Place (that's the name of the hotel!) in Ullswater is our go-to. I saw EV chargers there a year or two back, before the Taycan so didn't really check them out.

We love the hotel's design - cool, modern, boutique - and the many different activities and swim / water / spa experiences available.

I would definitely not recommend Hardknott / Wrynose pass in a Taycan.

It was always challenging enough in much smaller, lighter cars (but fun!).
It would be a nightmare in a Taycan though.

it was a few years ago when we went, so your opinion is probably more up-to-date!

I am in the Lake District now.
In Ambleside a mile from the Samling.
Not in a hotel this time.
In a weekly rental this week (with charging of course)
I have been to Linthwaite and Samling and they were at least until recently Tesla only destination chargers. They didn’t work for me but might now or they might have additional chargers.
They (and Gilpin) are both very expensive Gastro/gourmet hotels. Don’t know if that is a factor for you if it’s just somewhere to sleepover.
The Grand at Grasmere is lovely, less expensive and definitely has a charger for all, not just Tesla.
Go to booking.com and search for hotels in lakes and tick the ‘with chargers’ box
INSTAVOLT at Booths Windermere is good back up as said.
I would eat at the Old Stamp House in Ambleside and stay somewhere else!

Gilpin Lodge is exactly what I was coming to recommend.

I'm actually taking mine down from Glasgow for its first long trip in mid April

Gilpin has 2 sites one is lakeside great but bookings are really for exclusive parties we booked all six bedrooms for special weekend occasion main hotel is also excellent no dogs in main part but ok in lodges food is excellent you will not be disappointed
