Deciding CT or Sedan. Deciding factor Winter!

Sorry for spamming. I put this thread in the Cross Turismo forum but haven't heard anything yet. This is a major question that is going to push me to either go CT or sedan. I think that i will probably take the gamble with going stag 21 inch 4 season in snowing Toronto Canada weather. But hope to hear from anyone that have real experience.

I started the very early process of ordering a new Taycan. Long story short. I went to another dealer closer to home to check out the dealership. I find that the Sedan's back feels like too big an ass as a sport sedan. Feel that the CT shape do make sense. But i have concluded the death of it is that the 20 inch rims with the CT make the CT looks plain/ugly. So the question is, with the nice 21 inch rims and 4 season. Can it handle snowy winter, so i don't have to swap out to 20 inch snow rims. More specificly, Toronto Canada area. Anyone?

I’m not from Canada, but we have discoussed all,season tires several times.
to make long story short: winter requires winter tires.
Period.

(btw: CT with 20” rims, doesn’t look ugly at all…ofcourse, on 21” it’s amazing )

thanks for the short and conclusive response. Yes. all answer points to need winters. Ah... back to my angel vs devil debates then.

We love our CT for the extra storage and with the back seating area bigger i think its the better design. We will get some 19" for winter and run proper tires - pot holes and poor roads in the seattle area and we go into the mountains to ski. I lived in toronto before this and think that a proper winter set is the way to go - streets are better maintained than out here and less elevation to deal with.

Both will perform exceptionally well - same physical dimensions and weight distribution.

I've been through 2 winters now and have 20" all weather tyres. Unbelievable traction in snow thanks to AWD and of course 2.5T dead weight.

I imagine with snow tyres it will be even better (there is a video with a TTS ST with snow tyres pulling an X3 out of a snow drift in Germany!

CT / ST for more practicality and arguably looks over the saloon.

thanks. this is comforting to know. i can try CT 21 inch all season and see. just that with sedan. i can have identitical rims and all year long. 20 inch doesn’t look bad on sedan.
