Hi all,

after 2 weeks of daily visits to the porsche car configurator and a very satisfying testdrive this morning, I ordered my Dolomite silver CT4 at Porsche Antwerp (Belgium).

Delivery is expected Q1/2023 and a price increase of 2,5 % is already included ...

Main reason for this purchase is due to enormous taxes in Belgium on the use of cars. My X5 40e is a gasoline addict and the Belgian government likes to tax anything that is remotely climate unfriendly ... So, the X5 has to leave. The I8 stays, just for some fun at weekends.

My choise of options : http://www.porsche-code.com/PNM63M18.

Main focus on black accents on the outside : black 21 inch Cross Turismo wheels, black roofrailings, panoroof, privacy glass, ...
Standard seats, no extra leather. I like the base interior very much.
However : sport chrono (with compass !), power steering, memory driver, front heated seats, porsche entry, ambient lighting, bose sound, surround view

My son turned 14 yesterday. He chose passenger display ... I know it is not the best spent 1.125 € ...

I can change my spec until september 30th, so any suggestions are very welcome !

Greetings from Belgium !

My Dolomite silver CT4 will be delivered in Gent in 2 weeks.

I will post some pictures and impressions once I have it.

the dealer will paint the wheel arches in Dolomite before delivery.

i let myself go a bit on options

Dolomite, Vesuvius grey inlays (silver looks different than Dolomite , black is to dark for me)

20 inch turbo S, full black leather, 14W seats , acoustic glass, Bose, 4 heated seats, vent and massage, rear wheel steering, sport chrono with compass, electric charge cover, pano and roof rails, Pdls + (matrix not available), heat pump and 22 kw. Dark silver interior

installed a 22 kw wall box (3x400, 32A at home)

4 vs 4S.Tested a RWD sedan and a CT 4S. Happy with the RWD performance. And didn’t want to leave any option or pay 20 K more for the 4S

I came from a X5 45e.

good luck with decision making.

I got all the stuff in this build on a CT4S (looking forward to the Vesuvius) as it is similar to the finish on my current Panamera. I added all of the performance options plus a few other goodies just for fun.

Hans V. you are on the right track. My suggestion is that you make the car look beautiful on the outside (which I believe you have done) and then add the options that you believe you would use often based on the type of driving you actually do. Taycan CT allows you to build a car inside of a car in the sense that the shell is the same as others but the options can make two cars fairly different in terms of what they can do. I opted for a car that is sporty in terms of looks and also handling.

Good choice. You bought it by Nic or Koen?

Hi Hans
congratz with your order.
i wouldn’t take porsche int range manager, you can order this later. You don’t need it in BE.
power steering same, i‘m driving today and tomorrow on Spa Francorchamps and don’t need it. you can order these later pod.
i would take at least the 14- way seats, i have the 18- way. Memory is incl so not much more expensive.
Std seats are not comfi if you drive a lot and for sure if you come from an bmw, take other seats.
rear axle is also great and 22 kw charger.
passenger screen is good for later when you sell him.
but, whatever you take, it will be great. You’ll love it. It.s already my second one.
grtz

I don't see the point of getting the 22kw charger in Belgium.
It was popular in France (because of the zoe) but not needed anymore because of the introduction of more DC fast chargers.
For charging at home 22kw also does not make sense. 11kw is perfect. Even 5kw would be fine.
You will never arrive home with 0% and need 100% the next day. (and if that would really happen you can pass by a fast charger)

Koen. Nice guy and down to earth. Really good job helping me with the configuration.
Indeed, Koen is down to earth and knows his cars. You’re in good hands.

Yes I know. I was back and forth on this option. I took it because I wanted the best charging possibility. In my case I would use it when visiting my family. It is a 200 km single trip. Charging there on a 22 kw public charger will prevent me of charging on a fast charger on the way back. And I also figured it might be easy on holidays and could give me a significant charge when having problems with a fast charger. Probably more anticipating on range anxiety. Have read more since I ordered I think I won’t use it so much. At home it would even be very expensive with the new rates coming up. I have a 3 fase wall box so I hope I wont encounter the problems @tigerbalm is having.

I hope so too. I am increasingly confident that Porsche will have a permanent fix this year. The current situation is intolerable – but apparently there is way too much interest in this option for it to be quietly dropped.

If you are doing mostly 3-phase charging – I bet you'll be fine.

Inhave it too, and i drive a lot. I have 26000 km in 6 months. Most of the times driving a lot of km’s around belgium. And also sometimes i need urgently to go somewhere. For that and the rest value it’s great. When you’re in the center of ghent and you can charge at 22 kw it’s good. And you charge less at home, due to capacity tarif from july 1 st. Who will charge then at home everyday at 5-11 kw or more?
it.’s just good to have it for if you need it.

That is an argument to not charge at 22kw.
The tax will be based on peak power. So you are better of charging at 5kw instead of 22kw.
If you cook electrically, you will use 5kw peak anyway. Just make sure you charge at night while the rest of your electricity consumption is low.

I know but again, 5 kw during 8 hours is 40 kw charged., on a 83 kw battery. Not that much during night charging. If,you have 8 h sleep. I don’t. It’s an open debat that i have often with clients and others. Let’s say, the 22 kw charging is good to have for those who need it. Some options people take and some not. most important is enjoy driving your Porsche.

I find the 22kw option useful when on a trip. There are a lot of 22kw chargers, so visiting a museum or resto and having an almost fully charged battery is a pro ?
