I'm just as close but had to wait for months. Guess it's not a proximity thing but more about availability of the new sensors, that seems to have picked up within a month or so.

A few days in after the replacement was installed, and no false alarms so looks as it did the trick here too.

Strange to unlearn the double click.
Gotcha....probably not a proximity thing then... Might have just been blind luck :)

Had sensors replaced in March and haven’t had an issue since … kinda nice not having to worry about my alarm going off or having to double-tap when leaving car.

My dealer here in Florida USA said Porsche just released a fix for the Alarm issue and parts would be available here in a few weeks.

I recommend you query your dealer about this, and exactly what they mean when they say "just". Either they are lying to you, or Porsche are lying to them.

My dealer replaced the part on Jan 20 this year, so the fix has been known about for some time (even if the parts haven't been available).

According to my meeting with Porsche Technical Services, Porsche knew about the problem since at least September last year.

The underlying problem is that the sensor is part of the roof console designed by Audi. The position of the sensor in the roof console was changed without informing Porsche R&D, and in the new position the sensor triggers incorrectly in Taycans.

My car is Oct 25, 2021 build so I would xpect it to have the fix you mention. It's possible here in the US there is a new fix. we will see in a few weeks.

My Taycan was built mid-January and I took delivery yesterday. While waiting for a friend I parked in a lot on an incline and locked the car. Within a minute the alarm went off. And again. And again. Definitely still needs a fix.

I picked up my car one month ago and the alarm went off almost every time I left the car. Since then I have found that by going into the PCM under settings I can uncheck the interior alarm and have had no further instances. Further, and most importantly, just below that selection in the PCM I checked the box that gives me a heads up each time I power down the car. At that time, a reminder pops up in the center screen which gives me the option to have the interior alarm on or off. The car seems to want to default to the interior alarm being set so the reminder is critical.

Which dealer? I was going to try and schedule mine at Bert Smith next week (they have my second key and do the software update from the recall email).

A recall was just released yesterday from Porsche about that and parts are in production. We expect those to be available in the next couple of weeks.

Mine has just reached a whooole new level of alarm issues. And I've only had it since yesterday morning.

Tonight when I got home the alarm just started to go off within a few seconds as soon as the car locks (key / door handle / trunk button / timer, via all methods). Luckily it stops after 15ish seconds, but still.

Things I tried that don't help: disable interior monitoring (PCM and double key press), switch key, turn off phone, open and close all doors / trunk / drink, reboot PCM in engineering menu.

Let's hope these replacement alarm parts come in very soon.

Also probably not true, the recall was several weeks ago.

The dealer replaced the sensor in mine in January, but I had to take it back to them a few weeks ago - they said it was so that they could take photos of the replaced sensor in place to satisfy the recall notice.

The email that mentioned the recall was dated March 25th.

Either Porsche are not telling dealers about the recall at the same time, or your dealer is lying to you. I suggest you try and find out which it is.
