Well, Member “STGTS” who posted the order tracker image is from the UK (and I assume has ordered the car from a UK dealer).

I‘m sure I’ve seen a few other UK members post the details of their orders too (not necessarily Taycans).
Indeed they are. Useful to know as it was rumoured to be available 'soon' last November.

What’s funny? It’s a fact that Porsche GT cars do not have PDCC as standard or even as an option.

On the road, given where the weight is located in a Taycan, few (sensible) drivers are going to be experiencing meaningful body roll, so I would expect PDCC to have minimal advantages.
On a track, cornering speeds are going to be much higher, but keen drivers are likely to be using body roll as one input to understand how close they are to approaching the car’s limits.

In the UK at least, car journalists have tended to prefer cars without PDCC for this reason.

PDCC is an effective system, but it’s by no means necessary for a GTS and merely changes the driving experience rather than enhances it.

When did you get the call to lock your order?

Porsche Taycan Feedback on GTS Sport Turismo Build D2FB2BAE-4EDC-446C-9BDF-0E78C06EF8F7

hi to all from Quebec Canada! Ordered mine the morning of world premiere and allocation confirmed first week of January for expected delivery first week of June but stuck at step 1 since then ! Dealer doesn’t have a clue on dates now… anyone knows if production even restarted since the big stop in March due the war in Ukraine?

It was about 6 weeks or so ago… it’s been backward and forwards in terms of build date since.. but theory is they are locking in builds earlier that usual

Hi All,

As appears to be the norm, I’ve been wrangling over spec since placing my order and would welcome your informed opinions….

http://www.porsche-code.com/PNTFA3L0

I ordered a 4S in June 2021, and switched to a GTS ST on launch day in November, with Porsche Tonbridge.
If anyone has received news of anything positive relating to allocations / production, I would be pleased to hear it!

Nice build!

- Colour very much personal preference, but having seen a met black GTS ST in person, my instant thought was "Porsche-branded hearse". I do think that Khardashian-esque rear needs a light colour to accentuate its curves, it's otherwise difficult to err... appreciate.
- Black leather interior is fine, but if I did not want to tart up the interior, I would almost certainly leave the standard GTS interior as is, not least as it's model exclusive. The Race-Tex also adds a bit more variation where it's black/charcoal coloured vs black leather that is monotone and tedious - unless you like a "safe" interior.
- I would as others have suggested drop the PDCC. It is a lot of money for not much gain according to the solid advice on this forum, and you can option 3-4 other things (cosmetics) that could really lift the interior that ultimately you will be looking at the most.
- Consumable options like the tyre sealing compound are a bit of a waste where better and cheaper products can be purchased from Amazon - even if we are talking only £20.
- Drop the 22kW onboard AC charger as it won't provide you much benefit and is known to have technical flaws that have bricked the cars of owners on this forum. If you are charging at home, that will be overnight - 11kW is fine as that is 6-8 hours 10-80%. If you need fast charging, that won't be at home and the UK charging infrastructure is getting much better. 50kW charging units are quite prevalent and that means 10-80% charge in around 45 minutes. 150kW charging units around 20-30 minutes.

I would consider tarting up the interior or consider additional driver assistance options with the £3.5k we've just saved you, where you are otherwise spending a lot for not a lot.

Good points above!
Worth expanding on above comment.
I forgot to tick the £48 option on my 4S so I asked my dealer to price up a compressor and goo bottle!
The compressor was over £200 and the bottle around £100 with the VAT.
My dealer was as astonished as me!
They would be happy to sell to me at cost but still ludicrous!

I bought this for around £20.
All fits in right slots!

If you get the official stuff you will get £100 added to every 2 yr service bill for replacement of the out of date goo bottle because it’s official specification and an official service requirement. Small savings as said above but no point in chuckin money away!

Solid tip! I was unaware of that, but that is ludicrous! So a cheap £45 "option" ends up costing you hundreds two years later ?

Lord knows what added cost would come with the Porsche-branded USB cable. Extra £300 to clean the USB port as it's official specification ?

Who would be mad enough to buy a Porsche USBc cable for £30?

?

My initial build was for a 4S and... Guilty as charged for the 'Porsche Design' USB cable ?

Changing my mind and deciding on a GTS, plus labouring over the configurator for an unhealthy amount of time, I decided to focus just on what's important. Like the cosmetics...

I also have plenty of USB cables and it's not like Porsche are known for their high-end cables that all work the same way regardless.

I came close to ordering a Macan S. (Then decided to wait for Mission E for Tax)
Same thing happened when the Macan GTS launched for comparison between T 4S and T GTS.

The GTS is always more exclusive, looks better, a nicer place to be and better specced.

I wanted 15k extras on a Macan S
Only needed 5k extras on a GTS

Same with a Taycan. I want 15k extras on a 4S. 5k on a GTS.
So, better looking, nicer inside and out with unique body kit and wheels, faster and rarer and more desirable and only 10k more than a 4S.
Also a much lower percentage of extras to list.
GTS <5%
4S 18%
Guaranteed to be worth more than 10k MORE than a 4S in the second hand market from now until the end of time!
More expensive to buy but cheaper to own.
Trick is getting one now!

The PEC people told me last week they have a GTS with and without PDCC now, so you should be in luck hopefully.

The GTS RaceTex (so with contrast stitching and carbon etc) felt really lovely to me when I sat in it. The std RaceTex interior was a little underwhelming. Leather's nice enough, but everything has a leather interior :)

If you're tall enough to block the seat right behind you, I'd have thought having the middle one open for use would be even more key :) (I'm 6'4" and can get people behind me comfortable enough, though the ingress/egress is harder for adults as the space under my seat was limited). And I didn't really notice much difference in look other than the lack of a plastic oddments tray. It's something I think Porsche could have designed better. And as noted, I think it may take a nick out of resale eventually (which may or may not be an issue).

Lane Change Assist is something I never really imagined needing....but we have it on our Volvo and I find it really useful at times, such that jumping into other cars, I miss it. It doesn't stop me looking if I see no light, but I can catch the light out of my peripheral vision and know without looking to stay put.

Comfort access is similar. Another Volvo accoutrement that I miss when it's not there. Having arms full of shit and just being able to flick a foot under the bumper (takes practice!) and the boot opens is more helpful than I imagined it could be. Similarly, being able to touch a door handle with an elbow and it locks can also be very handy.

I just looked at comparable specs and you're right, it's pretty much all on interior stuff :) (or :().

The GTS interior and a few extra RaceTex bits on contact points add up to just shy of £5k

The only bits that I'll not worry about my blushes on that might be worth a thought....ambient lighting and front and rear seat heating (though it sounds like you're not that bothered about the rear).

I've kind of taken the general approach that over £100k is bonkers money for a car (never paid that for one - I am supremely out of touch with how much cars now cost it seems, as I've had some OK cars!) and so sod it. Another £5k on fake suede, as it will make me feel less OCD about it, and I do like stroking alcantara, doesn't really make it any less sane that it already is!
Sounds positive for the PDCC comparison at PEC, thanks for letting me know that.

I was also underwhelmed by the standard RaceTex interior, however I’ve not seen the GTS Racetex to compare it to.
I like the leather option, but agree it’s a safe and perhaps dull choice for the GTS.
I need to spend more time in a dealership looking at the different options first hand, as Images online don’t really help.

Ditto for the 4+1, I just need to have a proper look at both. I like the lack of headrest on the 4 seat option as it makes the rear cabin appear less cramped. The rear seats will seldom be used in this car. I’m 6’7”, so there’s unlikely to be any room for the middle passenger either, unless they are missing their right leg. You might be right on resale.

I’m often reassured when overtaking Volvos and I see the orange flash in their mirror that they won’t pull out on me, so I understand the LKA logic. For comfort assist, I will need to try it again at the dealership.

I’ve gone for ambient lighting, as you can’t have the ostentatious puddle lights without them…

The price of these (and all) new cars is now bonkers as you say, so in the grand scheme of things it wouldn’t be a problem to go all-in. On the other hand I find it easier to justify the cost overall if I’ve unticked a box and saved £500!
