Sounds positive for the PDCC comparison at PEC, thanks for letting me know that.

I was also underwhelmed by the standard RaceTex interior, however I’ve not seen the GTS Racetex to compare it to.
I like the leather option, but agree it’s a safe and perhaps dull choice for the GTS.
I need to spend more time in a dealership looking at the different options first hand, as Images online don’t really help.

Ditto for the 4+1, I just need to have a proper look at both. I like the lack of headrest on the 4 seat option as it makes the rear cabin appear less cramped. The rear seats will seldom be used in this car. I’m 6’7”, so there’s unlikely to be any room for the middle passenger either, unless they are missing their right leg. You might be right on resale.

I’m often reassured when overtaking Volvos and I see the orange flash in their mirror that they won’t pull out on me, so I understand the LKA logic. For comfort assist, I will need to try it again at the dealership.

I’ve gone for ambient lighting, as you can’t have the ostentatious puddle lights without them…

The price of these (and all) new cars is now bonkers as you say, so in the grand scheme of things it wouldn’t be a problem to go all-in. On the other hand I find it easier to justify the cost overall if I’ve unticked a box and saved £500!
I'm optioning a clockface at a mere £700.

I'm not sure what to feel about that. I suppose I can instantly tell the time...

Comfort access is keyless entry, no? It is standard in Canada.

Not to pull your key out and press the unlock button should really be a standard in today’s age.

Also include frunk hand gesture opening.

so, definitely consider this.
It’s keyless entry / start and opens the boot, drunk etc. Need to play with it again on a demonstrator to check it out properly. Lots of people seem to rate it.

- Colour very much personal preference, but having seen a met black GTS ST in person, my instant thought was "Porsche-branded hearse". I do think that Khardashian-esque rear needs a light colour to accentuate its curves, it's otherwise difficult to err... appreciate.
I’m a fan of black cars, but thought long and hard about Volcano Grey too, as the subtle contrast with the black GTS parts works well. I appreciate that this look is not for everyone!
I’m personally not keen on the way the plastic rear bumper diffuser is more noticeable on lighter coloured cars. I do like Crayon, but it’s a bit flash for me, even on a Porsche.

Nice build!

- Black leather interior is fine, but if I did not want to tart up the interior, I would almost certainly leave the standard GTS interior as is, not least as it's model exclusive. The Race-Tex also adds a bit more variation where it's black/charcoal coloured vs black leather that is monotone and tedious - unless you like a "safe" interior.
- I would as others have suggested drop the PDCC. It is a lot of money for not much gain according to the solid advice on this forum, and you can option 3-4 other things (cosmetics) that could really lift the interior that ultimately you will be looking at the most.
- Consumable options like the tyre sealing compound are a bit of a waste where better and cheaper products can be purchased from Amazon - even if we are talking only £20.
- Drop the 22kW onboard AC charger as it won't provide you much benefit and is known to have technical flaws that have bricked the cars of owners on this forum. If you are charging at home, that will be overnight - 11kW is fine as that is 6-8 hours 10-80%. If you need fast charging, that won't be at home and the UK charging infrastructure is getting much better. 50kW charging units are quite prevalent and that means 10-80% charge in around 45 minutes. 150kW charging units around 20-30 minutes.

I would consider tarting up the interior or consider additional driver assistance options with the £3.5k we've just saved you, where you are otherwise spending a lot for not a lot.
Some sage advice here. Great tip on the Amazon sealant. May have to consider more adventurous interior options…

Tis nice, but Crayon - flash?!

I'm going carmine red + PPF/ceramic to really make it pop.

Crayon is a stunning colour and my second choice. It's unique and works well under any light.

Stop it.
You are making me jealous because I forgot to option it on my flash crayon GTS!!
700 is a bargain to get rid of that plastic never ending second hand and the 99p digital clock.
However £700 is more than the cost of the bag I will use to hide it!

'Mad' comes to mind! ?
Inflation will otherwise slurp it up from my (business) bank account.

My current mantra is may as well spend it on something fun than see it evaporate courtesy of rampant inflation.

Inflation and depreciation. Both do the same thing to fiat.

That IS flash! There was me thinking acid green was the garish colour. It was crayon all along!

The 99p digital clock is principally why I am coughing up the obscene amount for the PD clock. Sitting in the GTS cabin, it reminded me of a counterfeit Casio. And no one likes a counterfeit Casio.

And the bag is not needed. I have found this, which can be printed to size, cut out and affixed with any good adhesive. I've heard Copydex is quite good:

Solid spot.

I now have justification to option the official Porsche tool kit! I wonder what the service charge on that will be at year 2 where part of the holster stitching is coming undone and one of the cranks has a small chip.

I suppose £500 replacement fee as it must be replaced with official spec kit ?

Make sure you pay the extra to have the contrasting stitch colour, to match the car’s interior…

Flash is perhaps the wrong expression! For me, It’s less discreet than the darker colours and too similar to Nardo Grey that you see on so many Audis. I’ve not seen the two colours side by side, so they may be very different. I like it though, just not for me. The GTS looks great in Carmine Red.
I’ve not ventured into PPF yet, but have had good experiences with ceramic coating.

Crayon's very different to Nardo. Nardo is much darker :)
