Thinking of doing the same, are they delivering for free or is there a charge? And how much?

I just sent my dealer an email to ask if my car was released from the port in Davisville where it has been since March 13th.

I got a call this morning from my SA in Memphis to inform that my car 4S was released for transport from the Houston port. I need to ask them if they will deliver the car home, as my hospital does not want us traveling outside of the state.
Does anyone think it would look bad if someone is seen driving a new car in an environment of uncertainty for a lot of people?

I like to keep my neighbors entertained. This will be the third new car that will appear in the driveway in the last year. My Taycan 4S is Mamba Green with the Mission E rims so there will be no hiding it. I have no guilt about buying/driving it. I volunteer as an EMT in town. As someone on the front lines, I enjoy driving my cars as a way to escape from the constant barrage of COVID-19 events.

I asked the dealership to look into it. I think PCNA has an offer for free delivery because of COVID.

I guess you are right. I have been on the frontlines almost everyday for the last 1 month as a physician. I know we are physically held hostage by COVID, but I don’t thing there is a reason to sacrifice Moments of happiness too.

WemCt- just got a message from my Porsche dealership and the car is still in port and they are opening back up in May (YaY for May) car has been waiting for the EPA cert, so should be coming, has yours been released? I am so excited,. I think ours are some of the first 4s in the USA.

You've been working your ass off. So, thank you. Look, no one "needs" this type of a car. Especially for you under these circumstances, I think you deserve it (as much as anyone "deserves" something like this). Unfortunately, you may not be able to drive it much for a while.

well that is interesting.

also, the AMCI testing for the 4s with 19 inch wheels is the exact same range as the Turbo S with 21 mission E wheels.

My dealer will reopen on Monday, April 20th for service and touchless delivery for sales. They will need to take care of the prep and paperwork during the week including getting the car registered in Georgia. We are targeting Friday, April 24th for delivery.
