After calling 20 different dealerships, I stumbled upon an in-stock 2022 Taycan GTS at MSRP that is scheduled to arrive in a few days. I immediately jumped on it but I wanted to get your opinions on the build to see if this car is missing any must-have options? I know its too late to change anything but I would like to know if the car is well specced. Below is my porsche code.

Thanks all!

If you want your car in the next 6-12 months, I think this is a pretty good spec’d car. The only thing I would have added is rear wheel steering and the 21” RS wheels. Otherwise I’d jump on it.

Yes! I just picked up the same identical build this weekend! I love it already, even after coming from a 2020 Turbo. It is supposedly a bit slower 0-60, but really, unless you clock them side by side you wouldn't know the difference. Lucky you if you can get it at sticker - I paid $12k over, but then I got $20k "over" on my trade of the 2020, so no regrets. And everyone loves the wheels too!

WOW that looks awesome! Do you have any more pictures? So it seems like "Launch vehicle" means that it was dealer specced just like the launch car because many dealerships are receiving the same build configurations just like us haha. Mine is not exactly MSRP, they added on $5k of CPO extended warranty which I am not sure what it is haha and front PPF for 3k. So more like 8k ADM but I get stuff from them. Did you PPF your car?

And it does have a heads up display! Kind of cool! Full disclosure - I had the side and rear windows tinted 35% ceramic today.

Looks great with the tint! Did yours come with matrix headlights? I know there was a stop sale for those for awhile

Agree with others that only thing missing from spec is RAS that I'd want, otherwise seems like everything is covered. Also not too many fluff options except maybe mobile charger connect (the standard one can charge at the exact same speed) and Tech package unless you really like HUD, since the passenger screen is more of a gimmick.

I'd personally have spec'd a different wheel (traded off MCC and Tech package to get 21" RS Spyder), but that's easily changed in the aftermarket. I already have aftermarket wheels just waiting for my RWD to be delivered in Sept lol

CPO warranty seems more like a pure markup IMO, pretty low value in my mind. Front PPF for $3k is on the pricier side, but you get actual value for it as long as they have a good installer (make sure it's custom installed with wrapped edges for this price, not just precut)

Pretty good, hope you get it; this waiting is insane. Supply chain and series of world events just make things more and more unpredictable.

You can’t CPO a new Porsche. Its warranty has to be punched before it can be CPO.

Are you sure this isn’t a Porsche demo car? Launch vehicle typically designates a car that was used for dealer shows, events, etc.

My car had 6 miles on it - no demo. We got a "launch" on the i4 M50 as well - 11 miles, delivered to the dealer the day before...still some tape on it. I guess we are lucky!

Thanks! Whatever the launch package included. I honestly see no headlights difference on this new GTS compared to my 2020 Turbo that explicitly had PDLS+ headlights on the sticker. Except I had the "blue" option on my old car. Un-noticable unless you look for it! Love the car!

that extended warranty won't be CPO, it'll just be an additional warranty at time of purchase. standard stuff

The build sheet says "Launch Vehicle" and I wanted to see if anyone had any idea what that means? I think it means that it is specced similar to the launch car for the GTS but not 100% sure. I am planning changing the wheels to aftermarket anyways so ignore the wheels (I think it looks bad too).

Thanks all!

honestly, it shouldn't even be a question of build.

If they are selling it to you at MSRP, you should just give them your money. You could drive it for 6 months for zero cost and recover more than your investment; just be sure to lease it so you don't pay for taxes.

I'd be skeptical about MSRP though - they start there and then they add the ADM after for total price. And, they will get it in this market. I picked up a 911 TTS last week that I didn't need because I was offered MSRP...took it gladly and could sell it today for an easy $60K over.

Exactly the Build I picked up about 3-4 weeks ago - nothing missing that you really need. Mine was at the Port in Germany when I purchased it at MSRP as well (never thought I would be happy about paying MSRP).

As best as I could tell when searching for a GTS in March is that there were two dealer build specs - 20 inch wheels and upgraded tech package or 21 inch wheels and RAS. I went for the first and could not be happier. No metal pedals and no GTS labeled side skirt - I don't care about those.

Just give them your money NOW!
