Did you have any issues with getting their short charge cable to reach the socket on the Taycan?
I did what I do with Porsche chargers. Use the charger in the next bay. If it was full then it would be a wonky diagonal park as close as possible. Should reach then. You are right. It is even shorter than Shell cables.

The reason high-amperage charging cables are normally short, is they need less or no cooling as the resistance is lower. This however limits the flexibility, when a car maker decides to put the charging port anywhere that is not in one of the corners of the vehicle. Ionity, among a few others, is an exception due to to expensive and sophisticated liquid cooling.

I reckon it's a 2m cable and the car is 2m wide. You will definitely need to invade the right bay at an angle if you can't use the charger in the left bay.

Boo! No one wanted to park next me.
The older (non-250kW) Superchargers are set up so that each pair of chargers (i.e. 1A-1B, 2A-2B etc.) share a supply and if someone plugs in next to you (Tesla or not) the charge rate will reduce by about half - so generally you will always want to leave a gap where possible at Tesla chargers (or at least if someone is in 1B then use 2A rather than 1A - subject to cable accessibility etc). The newer v3 chargers (250kW) don't have this limitation.
