I did what I do with Porsche chargers. Use the charger in the next bay. If it was full then it would be a wonky diagonal park as close as possible. Should reach then. You are right. The older (non-250kW) Superchargers are set up so that each pair of chargers (i.e. 1A-1B, 2A-2B etc.) share a supply and if someone plugs in next to you (Tesla or not) the charge rate will reduce by about half - so generally you will always want to leave a gap where possible at Tesla chargers (or at least if someone is in 1B then use 2A rather than 1A - subject to cable accessibility etc). The newer v3 chargers (250kW) don't have this limitation.Boo! No one wanted to park next me.
