I asked my SA in regard to this.
His response was in CA, the car has to be in the dealer's inventory in order to establish a "contract." I am not sure in other states.
I still hope something might change, but I am assuming I am not getting this $7,500.

Uncertain, I hope for both our sakes that your dates work out because it means all of ours will get pushed forward. Just hard to tell how bad the 12v battery and port strikes are. As of a week ago, it appears a deal has not been reached in Germany yet. Next meeting to discuss is 8/22

My dates just got moved up for a week . The delivery date was 11/11/2022 now it’s 11/04/2022z start production date was 10/14/2022 now it’s 09/30/2022 I am thrilled ?

Well, I'll take that as a good sign. A bit of a warning that pre the recent large delay, I did have mine moved up 2 weeks from late Sept delivery all the way to early Sept, and then back to 9/16, before the recent delay pushed it to Dec

Still, hopeful if yours did get pushed up it means maybe it's taking into account 12V battery shortages being resolved

Yea , strange that at the beginning my order created date was 08/05/2022, then 08/18/2022, then again 08/22/2022. So I assume they take the parts ports everything into account .

With just a few days left and no update on my TYD yet, I don't think mine will make it on Platinum Ray...

So is it save to assume the TYD delivery date is not reliable?
It currently showing 12/02/22. While I am hoping they just put down a date way down the year first.
I hope to get on any of these boat to SD.

No idea, we won't see the scheduled arrival date for the next vessel heading for US West Coast (arriving late November/Early December) for another 2-4 weeks. It may or may not match what TYD currently has for our cars.

Some movement! My car just changed to in transit to Emden port. I'd think perhaps this means it is going to try to catch the Platinum Ray? Trying not to get my hopes up too much but maybe those of us who are pending ships are about to be on the next one

That said, on vessel date still showing 11/4, but I don't know why they'd move it to the port vs. keeping it in the storage facility that we've found.

Also it seems to show the location in the middle of Germany, like it's on a truck, vs. previous "in transit" statuses that show it at the facility

The whole shipping process is messed up and not overly transparent. My 2022 RWD has been sitting in a compound at Emden port since 7/23 waiting to be shipped to the US West Coast. Current ETA on vessel: 9/2. Let's see...

VW export schedule was updated. Platinum Ray and Glovis Corona are not even on it.
Seems they are focussing on the East Coast and Gulf Coast, with no love for the West Coast yet.

Platinum Ray has just arrived at Emden, let's see if anyone reported that their car has been loaded on it.

Supposedly my car is on the lake wanaka, heading to davisville. It's never actually been on a schedule as far as I know.
