Taycan owner buys Genesis GV60 Performance. Please don't hate me. :)

Hey all. I know this is a bit off-topic but I just took delivery of a Genesis GV60 Performance+ Compact SUV. This vehicle is rare as hen's teeth in North America, so I was lucky to get a slot from the 1,500 vehicle allotment for Canada & USA for 2022 / 2023.

Yeah, I know, the range isn't great, the battery is smaller (77 kWh), but damn if the Koreans aren't getting good at breaking into the luxury market. This is a very well-appointed and beautiful small SUV, and I paid MSRP (no mark-up) at $80,000 CDN (around $71,000 USD).

SPECS: 2023 GV60 PERFORMANCE, AWD, 470HP and 0-60mph in 3.7 seconds, so ain't no slouch either.

I have my 2nd Taycan on order, my first one was totaled my a crazy driver here in FL.

anyway, I am also thinking of the GV60- i like the looks - it is also half the price of the Taycan

Have they solved the battery pre-heating issue? EV6 was very slow to charge in local winter tests - might be important thing in Canada too!

Another thing I remember of EV is the steering which felt like you turn big gears in thick grease..

My best friend sells Genesis and took me on a ride on this. Really impressive. Im a 12+ years owner of A8/S550/740 BUT….Genesis is getting ready to hit the germans seriously with a lot of quality leather, ride and the greatest customer service.

Congratulations. I tell everyone that's in the market for an EV it's required to drive the GV60.

You get Bentley and German exterior design, quality, colors, leather, interior design for a fraction of the price.

The ride is sporty, smooth, nice power delivery.

Hyundai group is the most exciting OEM right now, with the Genesis line being the pinnacle.
I'm fairly certain Porche worked with Hyundai Motor Group to develop the 800v architecture, especially since they were both involved in Rimac.

Wait till you see what the US dealerships are going to look like.

Just because you copy the style of something doesn’t mean it has the same level of design or quality. Just look at the Chinese Macan knock off…

Sorry, it looks a bit busy/fussy for my tastes- particularly inside, but also externally due to the various bits of trim (I could imagine it with a Citroen badge).
