Bose removed from UK configurator

So, am hopefully just a few weeks from an allocation, and Bose has been removed from the UK configurator.

Given the poor reviews of the standard system, this is a real blow.

I cannot continue with an imperfect car at 100k plus.

Does anyone have insights to the length of the removal?

It’s available for me on a 4S. Which model are you looking at?

Not there on the RWD. I guess that would be a good reason to move to a 4S

It doesn't appear to be every configuration. For example the 4S still has Bose as an option and its still on the standard configuration of a Turbo S.

Strangely the Turbo models do not have it as an option.

The chip shortage isn’t improving then. I thought they would have sorted the supply problems by the end of 2022 but clearly this is going to take much longer to resolve.

it just goes from bad to worse!

I knew it was on the Turbo S (have one on order) – hadn't appreciated it was standard on the Turbo too. Good to know.

Still listed on my build sheet, and hoping that is included when they build the car (hopefully next week). Agreed that I will be more than slightly 'pissed off' if not included!

Maybe more pissed off if it delays the car delivery by 6 months waiting for a widget in a speaker.
I'm not a music buff, but standard is fine by me.

I was advised to remove it from my spec in April to avoid a long delay, though there has been a long delay anyway.

I assume the standard system is adequate for car listening, I have yet to hear a car system with genuine high fidelity at any price yet…

Loud, yes, loads-a-bass, yes, high sound quality, not yet.

Spoke to dealer - Bose removed from RWD and CT4. Burmester also removed. Attittude was 'well if you dont want it, you can have your deposit back and buy something else'.
