The green light definitely goes to the car though, since it's how you can control features remotely. The problem is that we don't know if porsche has been putting the official 12v battery in these cars or a temporary one.
Here is wat I thought: app goes to service then goes to car and then car sending info back to service to app(user). This is normal app/car transfer dates, even remote control still needs at least pair once to activate. If app can connect to car for date transfer/reading car info then we may see car location/battery something like that. Right now we can’t see anything. Every time we try to read/use it, app would ask link with the car. That make me question if that app really connects to car or just something else like service.
The reason why we can't see anything is because there's no pairing between the actual app and the PCM inside the car. That would require going into the PCM and adding the pairing code given through the MyPorsche app. Hence it has almost no functionality. But it does mean that the car itself must have a connection, no? Even if it has to connect to service, it still needs some working hardware to do so.
Right. But base on my understanding it doesn’t make sense, lots of us seeing this for weeks still no movement (missing vessels) I don’t think Porsche would keep those car WITH 12v in warehouse not ship them out, specially last month had lots of vessels for east coast . I wish I’m wrong, we all been waiting long enough, I hope we all get our cars as soon as possible.
could be Emden backlog and not 12v battery backlog like the notification says. Yea they’re back in business but there’s only so many boats and so much capacity. There’s also not just Porsche riding on them.
mine is still up. Just checked again now. More bad news for me. Everything got pushed back another week. Delivery went from 12/2 to 12/9. I think these are all just made up dates at this point. Not confident at all in any of these dates holding up.
