My dealer emailed me yesterday and I have some excellent news to share with everyone:

Still no idea when I will get an allocation.

I head off to somewhere warm with sea, sunshine and scenery this weekend, so really, I don't care... And I am quite looking forward to my month with a Yaris, then another month with a Clio RS Line on those winding mountain roads.

After that, who knows, but I hope I don't have to return to garage a Porsche. Actually wait, that's a dead cert not happening any time soon.

Maybe aye maybe naw!

November is pivotal I think - dealers will be handing out allocations to the 'chosen ones' I think.
Yes, I've heard the same. I also heard that not one single GTS ST has been handed over to a customer across the Sytner group to date out with sold on demo vehicles.

I can believe it. Vardy's will be similar due to the franchises getting a slice of 75% and Porsche UK getting 25%.

Be lucky if there are a couple of allocations per month in 2023 - my guess is 3 - 5 max (if that).

My company has 2 GTS ST's on order. The first one is still on track for Nov/Dec delivery. The 2nd (mine) is next on the dealer list but I have not ETA yet.

Ironically, we ordered 2 dealer spec'd RWD ST's as a stop gap while we waited for the GTS'. They were built in July but have been held up with the battery issue. Latest info is that they are likely to be delivered with the first GTS!!

Interesting intel.

My dealer has at least 10 orders for the GTS ST, so that would be a 2+ year wait for those who deposited Q1 22.

It's almost as if they want people to cancel.

Interested in the comments about allocation split between franchised locations and OPC... is that right that OPC only get 25% of Uk allocations? Id have thought it was the other way around?!

Is Guildford an OPC? I believe it is.

As another data point, I was I think the first customer order for a GTS ST at one of Dick Lovett's large dealerships (Bristol) - due first after their demo car - and im still waiting for it to go into production, although it is supposed to be very soon. Was supposed to be an Oct delivery but now feels like I will be lucky to see it before Christmas. So i dont think they have had a 2022 delivery outside of their one demo car.

You need to factor in those (including me) who paid their deposit in 2021.

The dealer in Belfast had an order book of 18 last August.

I am optimistic that November and then Q1 will see a mass of allocations incoming. You could finally get that email you have been waiting for.

I say that because what with the global economy about to implode, and shareholders to keep happy, I can't see how Porsche wouldn't want to rush orders out before a flood of cancellations start hitting their books.

Additionally, they know competitors will be announcing or launching competing EVs next 18 months - which will also see disgruntled/bored prospective customers cancel - so that too doesn't make sense that they would leave people like you waiting 2+ years.

It's not a new release of the 918 Spyder. It's a Taycan.

You can't rush anything if parts are in short supply - this being the primary reason for many of the delays.

Most Porschites are loyal and no matter what happens they always come back.

That sounds about right.
Assuming 8000 Taycans of all varieties get delivered to GB in 2023 (the best quarter so far has seen <2000), and that 15% are GTS, would mean that each of the 40 non-PRG dealerships would get just under 2 a month on average.
