Each to their own, but you are limiting the charging on DC (ie. most public chargers in the UK) to only 50kw. For context, if you pulled into a service station and wanted to top up from 20% to 80%, it would take 40 - 50 mins, instead of 20 mins.
You're leasing (or buying) a £100k+ car, but you draw the line at a (relatively) cheap £300 option? For the outlay, it's a pretty big quality of life upgrade.

The 22kw AC upgrade at £1179 I can understand, that can GTFO! :)
The 150kw charger option only opens up 400v chargers which there are none in the U.K. if it’s a 800 v charger you can take the faster charge rate as standard. If Tesla open up the network that another story for their older chargers but even those are being changed for newer 800v chargers. I have driven the current Taycan for two years and never had an issue with being limited to 50kw

Still waiting for it to arrive at the dealer from the port, first world problems - but the wait is painful :CWL:

Aren’t the IONITY chargers 800 volts?

move managed to get 265kwh the last time I charged at Milton Keynes IONITY. Max I’ve managed to get at beaconsfield IONITY is 160 (but I also had battery protection ticked which I unticked at Milton Keynes)

Yes they are. That’s my point you don’t need the option for most chargers in the U.K.

Annoyingly my dealer has told me that there were delays at customs clearing the car so its only just been assigned a “load“ (i don’t know why dealer put that in quotes as the sentence then looked like an innuendo!) and so will be another 10 days. I had rearranged my diary next week and now I’ve got to wait for a new confirmed date.

I bet my car has been affected in the same way, that's a shame as I'd have liked it next week for a particular trip - ah well.

I’m speaking to the dealer tomorrow - perhaps i can get something thrown in for the inconvenience although i really shouldn’t complain as i know I’m lucky!

Which dealer are you collecting from ? Mine is West London PRG

My understanding is that we're all going to be waiting until the end of the year (Nov/Dec) when dealers in the UK get their next round of allocations.

That will probably let us know if we're getting a car H1 2023. Then we wait until June/July to see if we get a car H2 2023.

You'd have thought all the unsettled stuff would have been easier to predict now, at least towards the "worst case" end of the spectrum, by now. But then maybe Porsche aren't ready for a mass dropping of deposits just yet :)

Meanwhile I was introduced to a new sales exec to go with my current one to tell me there won't be any news until the end of the year - times must be good :)

In all seriousness, it's not the dealers at fault here, but das mothership. However, it is what it is.

I thought I'd seen a decent spec 4SCT online that was below list that might cover the wait...but it wasn't (albeit only a £2k premium. For a 1yr old, 10k miles car!). GTS prices are going a little nuts. Premiums now looking closer to £20k, so those buying a dealer demo with "only" a £10k premium will be feeling quids in :D

Patience is a virtue...

Latest update/guesstimate now says April ‘23.

For context original order was end of Jan ‘22 with delivery expected Nov ‘22(!), put back to Feb ‘23 and now April ‘23. GTS Saloon.

I know there are unlikely to be any further build slot allocations released until the end of the year so there could still be further delays.
