12 month wait for a build slot for a CT4 - need to freeze spec next week for the Feb 23 build slot - no BOSE showing and removed from my order...thankfully, can now add memory seats as I have a £90k list price cap on the company lease scheme...will ask my local car audio specialist to find an interim bass enhancement solution.

No surprise - no two dealers appear to be saying the same thing probably because Porsche’s communication is so pants.

Good to hear you’re getting the Bose option though. My SA had to call a list of customers with the bad news only last month and all of them were base model orders. God only knows what the actual situation really is.
Yeah, I guess nobody has a clue about what actually is happening. I was told Taycans are not impacted with the Bose situation and it is mostly Macans and all that, then they removed it from the configurator so go figure. I’d be happy if the car comes with 4 tyres and perhaps a wheel if I am lucky enough.

My 2023 GTS is currently in production as of last week, and it still has Bose in the configuration. I did not get any notice from Porsche or my dealer that Bose would be removed. I did get notice that the VLC roof was being removed and replaced with standard fixed glass pano roof, and the msrp adjusted accordingly.
You must be correct if you are still getting your Bose , just wonder if the 2023s going foward are not. I just was told that my tourismo 4s that the dealer said he had the allocation for me this past Saturday was not the 4 s but only the 4, so back to driving my bmw wagon for many months again!!!!

I was poking around the US configurator, and I found most of the Bose quirks others have mentioned in this thread, plus maybe one more. In the US configurator, as of 26 October 2022:

1) Bose is not available for order for any base Taycan.
2) Bose is available as an option, or as part of the Premium package, for the 4S and GTS variants, described as having 12 speakers and 550 watts of power.
3) Bose is standard equipment on the Turbo and Turbo S models, described as having 14 speakers and 710 watts of power.
4) Previous Bose and Porsche press releases, and my memory of the configurator from months ago, all talked about Bose having 14 speakers and 710 watts.

The only caveat to the above is that with the 4S and GTS variants, you read the Bose description by poking an info icon to get a popup, whereas in the Turbo and Turbo S models the Bose description is in the "standard equipment" section. So it could be the case that Porsche dropped two speakers from the US Bose setup recently but didn't change the "standard features" text. Or maybe there really are two versions of the Bose, and only the Turbos now get all 14 speakers. As someone else mentioned, anyone care to count the speakers in their recently delivered US car with Bose?

I do note that the UK, Netherlands, Italy, and Canada configurators all still say that the Bose is 14 speakers and 710 watts regardless of which Taycan model it sits in. Having a US GTS whose TYD "Start Production" starts on Friday, I am hoping for Bose, and for 14 speakers. Fingers crossed.

I have a Turbo allocation which has been showing the 14 speaker 710W Bose in its standard equipment list, when I load the build in the configurator (TYD does not list any standard equipment). The build froze and thawed twice so far, next estimated freeze date only 4 days prior to start of production in December. I checked the standard list of features at each freeze date - it's been unchanged. I had no notifications from my SA about any equipment removals, at least so far. You'd think if they want to remove features from standard equipment they would notify the customer, so no notification should mean no changes.

I see no reason for them to change the standard equipment, probably just removed it as an option from certain models due to the shortage.

On my CT 4S order I was told leaving Bose on my spec would increase the delay by 6 to 8 weeks. That was in April. Matrix lights came off the options list before finalising my spec and even though they were back on by the time I did fix the spec the dealer told me there would be an additional substantial delay if I put them back on.

I am sure the dealer was using best info they had, but I certainly wish I had stuck to the spec I actually wanted since it is now 6-months past, still no car and options I wanted missing.

Having waited 15 months already I am resisting cancelling my order.
OTOH I would take some persuading to ever buy anything Porsche again.

Sadly, I am 100% in agreement with you Frank. I appreciate these are uncertain times, but the initial excitement wore off shortly after the PEC and the continued lack of customer service or regard by Porsche as a brand.

I feel for you, as I've been waiting a similar amount of time (slightly longer), though most of it just waiting for an allocation, so I didn't have to make compromises on my build (yet). I came across a Taycan allocation as I almost gave up hope and almost ordered a Lucid (I had a unique opportunity to order one).

The only problem with cancelling a Porsche order is what would you get instead? I could go back to Lucid (no idea the wait, the opportunity for an earlier slot I had is gone, though I work with Lucid engineers so perhaps I could find another one), I cannot stand the Tesla stalkless yoke and kind of tired of Tesla after almost a decade driving them (4 model S's since 2013). Rivian doesn't really have anything I want yet. Rimac is way outside of my price range (and probably even longer queue). Ford or GM doesn't have anything that peaks my interest either. If Audi etron GT RS would come as an estate I would be interested, but given it's not even announced, probably longer wait than for a Taycan. I don't really want to go back to ICE cars. So what options are left other than wait for the Taycan?

I can sympathise completely. I vacillate between excited anticipation and just telling them where they can stick their car!

The ongoing delay is one thing, but the fear that the spec. will be not be as ordered due to the broken supply chains, fills me with dread.

Having bought those winter tyres and wheels I could make a pretty decent go-kart ?

FWIW my CT-Turbo is now in the UK - pick it up on 16th - it has Bose - and a full spec aside from the mobile charger - but I have a solution for that.

OPC said he had 10 cars so far arrived without the Bose Amp - not just Taycans - those were with optional Bose not standard - they were all 'stop-sale' until Amp stock arrived and could be retrofitted.

Happy Chappy here - good luck to those that are waiting - sympathies.

So why no mobile charger? Presumably PMC +?

OPC said something to do with new regulations - but I think this is wider than UK - so I am unsure.

Ah darn, I was planning on using the pmc plus as my home charger!

Congrats. This is not bad news for those missing Bose as it sounds like they have a plan to add the amps even if it means waiting a bit longer.
