I think it was put back by 12 months while they sorted out the Taycan software. I tried to persuade my wife that she should consider this, but for some reason she wanted a RR Evoque instead. Hey ho. No further comments from the forum on this one please!

We did ours together, paid for the missus as we're both going to be using - now we know what it can do I feel a lot better about the ooooomph that it can put down.

I’m getting pissed off now, ordered nov21, was originally told a build date of May 22, actual build date was sept 22 but still waiting for a battery with no idea of a delivery date and the car it’s replacing is going today.

You’re getting pissed off, try Aug 21 and build date 22 July 22. Sent customer service (loosely used term) an email on Thursday and await reply, dealer is getting zero comms from Porsche UK

DON’T put a deposit down. Just ask the dealer to put you on the waiting list. It will be out in 2024.

My dealer said that anyone who puts a deposit down is not treated any differently to people on the list. I’ve done the same.

WHEN it’s announced you will get an email and you can place your order. Shouldn’t be any special treatment there…

Oh sh1t, that maybe means there is a shortage of 12V batteries again since it seemed cars built later were being completed and delivered.

I got an email from the dealer today saying no more news on my car ordered July “21, finished July ‘22 in storage without 12V since.

Where the hell is the fun in that?

I think it's far more "part of the process" to put a few thousand pounds down, and then let Porsche not tell your dealer anything so you can be kept in a state of suspense, checking the classifieds for Ferraris and McLarens and Lamborghinis that you can start to justify as a sensible replacement.

Every now and then you can get a free email from a couple of people at your dealer to note that they still have no news, and that you might still get a car before your incontinence pants are due. And if you are really lucky (and I do mean really) you could also get offered the chance to buy a watch. With Porsche on it. Because I've not wanted a watch so much since I saw the ones with Mickey Mouse waving his hands on.

FFS just had the latest. My car is now built but there’s a delay in shipping to the UK so it’s going back from 30/11 to 31/01/23. Ordered 26/10/21. Assuming that means I’m getting an MY22 way behind some MY23 vehicles being delivered. Thought I was on for a nice early Christmas present but no such luck.

process so far

- order 26/10/21
- Initial estimate for deliver date 21/10/22
- Got an update 29/06 that it was being brought forward to 30/09
- Got an update on 05/09 it had been delayed to o 30/11 but no reason. Suspect 12v or Bose
- got an update 03/11 that it’s now built but there’s a delay shopping to the uk so delivery estimate 31/01

If it’s stuck in Germany then I think it must be some part of the standard spec is missing. I think they can ship to dealers to hold with optional spec missing, but if standard bits are missing then the car stays in Germany. This is why (I think) the cars most likely to lose Bose are ones where it is an option rather than standard

ordered mine 2 weeks ahead of yours, but havent had any new update so I am now expecting a January delivery based on your comment.

Porsche needs an atlas to help them find their arse and elbow apparently.
