I ordered my GTS against an available allocation early October and have not been able to track the order in My Porsche account until today. I've repeatedly chased Customer Service for the past 2 weeks then the order appeared today. I'm now at Stage 2 which is the Porsche Experience at Le Mans, (I live in France). So I expected I would have to pay but just been looking at available dates and it's free. Is this normal?

Has anyone done one of these. They expect you to do it before you freeze your config so you understand the options/driver aids etc, but I can't see me changing mine. So do I go soon in the winter, Le Mans doesn't get snow lol, or do I wait until the warmer weather. The offer is until 5th May 2023.

Cheers

Not sure if it's the same over there but IIRC in GB there is a charge included in the OTR price, and if you pull out of buying having taken the experience session, the dealer is entitled to subtract the cost when returning your deposit.

My deposit isn't refundable anyway as I ordered against an allocation. There was no option on the configurator so I've not paid for this without realising lol. Looks pretty cool though. I've done track days. Used to own a track car so will enjoy this.

Ordered my RWD from Toulouse and got an invite as well. Same as you, I locked my configuration back in Sept and it’s already too late to make any change. I havent booked a date either.

The $500 was as part of the "delivery experience" when I picked my car up.
I saw that higher price too. I agree it's a bit steep.

Is you car in production yet? I would have thought so if the config was frozen in September?

Good question, delivery date was/is scheduled for the end of December but to be honest I haven’t followed up with the dealer.

Oki, looks like logging into my account with localization set to France, it show me the car is in stage 3. I didn’t even realized I could track the production online since it was defaulting to the US website.

You may be able to find some production pictures of your car. I'm really looking forward to this. My freeze is 22 dec so expecting it to go into production in January.

100% 'free' - it is built into the price of the car.

Porsche have offered experience days since around 2003 onwards.

You normally have up to 12 months to use your slot and no requirement to attend prior to locking your build either.

I still have one in the bank from 2 years ago which is still valid.

Great day out (normally) and I would pick a day when the weather is good to get maximum value out of it.

Mine expires on 5th May 2023.

Not free in the US.

Same difference - we pay for the driver experience day through the price of the car and other countries pay for it separately. The fact we pay for it indirectly is a little bit sneaky in my opinion as not everyone realises their entitlement nor do they make use of it. Comms from the Dealer and / or Porsche can be a hit or a miss on this topic.
