So I'm on the fence as to which mobile charger to buy - if any. It's a rare day that I'd take my Taycan on a roadtrip but that unusual occurrence is going to happen next month. So initially I figured I'd pick up the smaller/lighter Porsche mobile charger but alas it's not available and still no ETA so I started looking at 3rd party options. I'm bouncing between a fixed format 40amp for faster charging vs. a flexible version that has plug adapters and variable amp settings. This particular trip I know I'll have a 14-50 plug there so the 40amp is attractive but for the emergency 'oh sh!t' scenario it'd be nice to have flexibility of other plugs... but do I care enough about that to drop to a 32amp charger? Is 8amps really worth it to cover risk that may never be realized? On our Tesla the mobile charger has been used exactly once in 18 months and even then it was for giggles in a garage b/c I happened to notice I parked in front of a 5-15 outlet and figured "what the hell."
Looking at these two right now but would be curious to know what you folks have found or use.
