Looks like waiting lists are shortening, probably people bailing out.
Maybe financial uncertainty or would it be unknown increase in interest rates for people who buy in installments?
Can't see it getting better in my lifetime.
in my case I was always next in the list, the dealership were simply waiting for their next GTS ST allocation. Not sure whether others feel like they’ve been bumped up the queue because other people have dropped out?

The only other explanation I can think of is that all of a sudden the shortages have been resolved and parts are flowing fairly freely.
Love your colour choice btw

Possibly an element of that but hard to tell. I think it's more to do with supply chain easing and partly replenishing the lost cargo from Felicity Ace last summer.

To be honest that’s nothing like my final spec - no way I could drive a car that colour - just wanted to see the reaction! Not sure if people are just being polite!

I’ve always chosen boring colours for my (new) cars - dark blue, light grey, dark grey, silver. I’m happy for my car to blend in, rather than stand out, but I enjoy seeing other people‘s cars in bright colours! My current RS4 is Sepang blue, but only because it was bought second hand and there was limited choice - Daytona grey would have been my preferred option.

Desperately trying to resist choosing Volcano grey for the GTS!
:)

I think the biggest problem with the exterior colour is that so many of the options look superb on the car. Whether it’s Volcano, Crayon, Mamba etc or even boring Gentian Blue, they all look great.

I eventually went with Gentian. Hey ho, first time being the ‘grey’ man. ??

Whatever you choose will be right, the look of the car just lets you do that. ?

Phew...I was desperate to suggest you had totally lost the plot and so its a 'no way Jose' on the colour front!

Colour is tricky - I've been through Volcano twice now - I love it but I don't think it goes well with the black trim and in particular the window surrounds.

I'm now on Jet Black (dull I know) and going for the 'Hearse' look.

Tense times indeed!

I went with Carmine and then to Gentain. I also like the hearse look................
Still all quiet my end on the build slot front.

My current car is close in colour to Volcano Grey. It is very smart but I prefer green or purple, when available, which they rarely are. My 500E is bornite - a metallic purple and I have had a techno violet BMW M3 but so few choices, most of the time :(

I am fed up of cars in non-colours, ie the monochrome variations between white and black with no tint at all, but most makers offer few other choices and I have ended up with monochrome dailies for decades.

My short list for the Taycan was Mamba Green, Frozen berry and Cherry and I went for the green in the end and though I would have preferred one nearer BRG I did like Mamba lots once I had seen it on a couple of cars.

I am even more bored by black interiors and privacy glass though :) I can accept and enjoy my dark grey exterior but a black interior or privacy glass rules out a car completely.

That’s exactly what my wife said about black!

I’m looking at Gentian as my ‘exciting’ option!

I like black interiors, but with a contrasting stitch to lighten things up.

Not sure I would see a few sq centimeters of contrast stitching as brightening up the black hole of Calcutta :)
You are clearly in the majority though. Outside the more expensive and luxury brands pretty well every maker just supplies the sporty model of a car with a black interior which they wouldn't if it was unpopular, obviously.
