OMG now being told my car will be in the dealer on Monday for delivery next week bringing it back in line with the 30/11 delivery estimate which went back to 31/01 recently. Not there yet but beginning to get excited now

Just back from my OPC and my car entered production today as planned. Even better, it will have the ordered spec including……….Bose!

On the subject of SAs, James at OPC Belfast has been and continues to be excellent.

Edit: I’ve been meaning to post my build code for a while as I’ve found it really useful to see other people’s build options up until lock-in. Here’s mine: CT4S Build

Dare I ask, you have checked your Spam / Junk folder?
Yes I check every email that ends up there.
That was the Porsche centre’s first suggestion.
They told me the date of the email and I checked they had my email correct (the dealer does).
I am very aware of the possibility of important mails ending up in the spam folder, it happens.

Phoned to check today and it turned out my car arrived at the dealer yesterday when my rep was on holiday. Originally she thought it could be picked up on Monday but now she says hopefully ready ”by the end of the week” which I presume means next week not this.
Now I need to change my insurance and decide if I need the tracker activating.

Great news, glad yours has finally got through! Let us know how you get on and pictures are mandatory ;)
I will definitely be activating PVTS, it makes insurance a lot cheaper.

I asked if they would give a discount on winter wheels and gave them 2 links to the ones I like. The first they said only fits a GTS, which is not true and they said they would get back to me. The second they quoted a “fitted” price £411 higher than they are listed on the Porsche Techquipment website and offered me a discount taking it to £13 less than list - though no mention of the hub covers which are extra and if included the discount rises to £175.

I will ring round some other sources since I know the GTS colour wheels are just the Turbo S in a satin all over black and will fit.
That’s poor.
Have you looked on eBay etc have seen some around on there might have to buy the tyres separately.
Otherwise go to Liverpool and get them “made to order” ?

Brilliant news, it seems like our cars were aligned with each other and of course both Mamba Green! With regard’s insurance they have a “drive away” free insurance that lasts 5 days. Pick up date for mine is Wednesday 30th, happy days!

The free insurance requires the tracker, and I haven’t decided whether to subscribe or not yet. It depends on what my permanent insurance requires I suppose.

I have a video too!
Some confusion over pickup. The retail manager told me earlier this week it would only take a couple of days once the car arrived so when my SA told me Saturday was probably not on but seemed to think Monday afternoon would be OK I assumed next Monday.
When she emailed me various stuff about insurance and paint protection she mentioned the workshop said it should be ready by the end of the week, which I presume to mean end of next week, not this, so I am a bit confused over what they meant.

I got the tracker as Admiral insisted on it.

Porsche though told me the free insurance didn’t cover London!!! However the insurance company happily called to quote me for insurance (was a ludicrous price so i declined).

Admiral good bet - i took out multicover as it was worth me doing that and cancelling existing policy

I am on Admiral with my Ferrari and my plan was to change from Ferrari to Taycan and then add Ferrari as third party fire and theft only multi cover (if they will) since it is on SORN for the winter in a locked alarmed garage.
A friend who is an actuary told me that fundamentally if anybody offers you insurance you don't need it, but it is a legal requirement for a car!

I think your actuary friend is looking at it from an insurers point of view - as in they make money and the customers lose money (overall).
As an actuary would. ?

Personally, I am glad I have had it over the years.....3 cars, 3 watches, jewellery, flood, accidental damage etc.
All none fault. ?

I have claimed way more back than I will ever pay in premiums.

Yet others never make a claim. Nature of the beast.

What I have learned is its often the little low cost bolt ons that are worth having. Accidental damage on a household policy, legal fees on a motor policy etc.

Good luck with the car Frank. My bet is Monday or Tue this coming week.
