UK Lease/Salary Sacrifice Order Tracker

Hi,

Taking inspiration from @whan (thanks!) and his wider order tracker sheet, I've put something similar together to track UK Lease/salary sacrifice orders. Hopefully useful to keep an eye on which lease companies and dealers our orders are going through.

The form to add your data can be found here. If you want to update any data at a later point, you can fill the form in again, using the same forum username and it (should!) update.

The data itself can be found here. If we get a few entries added, we can play around with the stats.

if anyone has any comments or changes/additions or if its broken (first time playing with this stuff) then shout!

Octopus have not yet given me an estimated delivery date- when would I get one of these or is it just 2 years from deposit which is what Octopus have said is typically?

With lex, once they ‘placed’ the order with Cambridge, they gave me and estimated day. I had an email the next day from Porsche Cambridge to confirm my spec and in that correspondence they also confirmed Feb/March 2024.
Have octopus told you which dealer your order has been placed placed with? You’d think they get the “2 years” from the dealer. Maybe find that out and contact them direct too.

Added my order details (on the form)
Ordered through Activa (part of Arnold Clark group) as salary sacrifice, last year in June 2022.
Initial delivery date: Sept 2023
Order placed with Porsche Centre, Bristol dealership.

Nope, No real updates.

The leasing company (Activa Contracts, part of Arnold Clark) sends an email every week to our HR department; and it has always stated a single word in the status column 'Waiting'...

Just a one word status update for last 6 months !

I've got very lucky and jumped up the queue due to some cancellations/unable to reach customer orders ahead of mine and I've been told I'm now getting a March/April build slot.

Between Sept and Jan I had no updates at all, and I'm the one administering the scheme at the company I work for!

Great news! Better lock down that spec...did you have a fat options list?

Seems more and more people are seeing that due to cancellations!

So your company do salary sacrifice via Select Car Leasing - presumably just the electric cars?

Yeah I locked the spec whilst on the phone with the dealer (I had no option but to stick with what I originally ordered or otherwise Select were quoting an additional £50 a month due to an interest rate increase from Lex).

Actually, my option list was just under £10k. I spec'd the car last summer via Select with Porsche Reading. But couldn't commit as "group" hadn't signed off on the scheme. Once sign-off was given in Sept, prices had gone up plus the £10k option limit was introduced. So Reading were no longer interested but Select managed to get the order accepted with Bristol as it went in alongside a private individual's £200k+ Taycan Turbo S. Didn't avoid the price hike though unfortunately.

Only pure electric cars are eligible for salary sacrifice and Select were the chosen partner, but I did contact a wide range of providers to see what worked best for the business.

good to see the tracker getting more entries on it!

if anyone has any suggests or wants to see different views of the data then I can update. as if anything like this, the more data that's in it, the more we can get out.

also a reminder if you have any updates you can use the same form (just keep the forum username the same) and add your new info. if you leave any fields blank, it will keep the previous info if there was anything there.... I hope!

sorry to read that., after waiting so that's a pain indeed!

did you say Lex increase including the expected P11D changes was ~£200/month more?
was that gross before tax savings etc from Sal Sac?

Will keep you in the tracker as the dates you had till now were still valid and good reference

I suppose we are all exposed to this risk given the increasing costs of finance and the long wait times.

I will be checking my Octopus paperwork to see how long they honour the quote, they did warn me that if Porsche increase pricing I'd have to pay that but do not think the financing cost could be increased.

yes, can imagine a few more orders heading the same way unfortunately.

only saving grace is that my car isn't due for such a long time still that we're hopefully over the hump of rate rises by then!

Can you switch to a RWD /standard battery to trim the costs - I hear they are still excellent?

That's my back up plan anyway!
