When driving aggressively on back country roads with the music loud it definitely adds to the whole experience too.

Well, if you can hear sports sound over loud music….then, you don’t use loud at all

For all the people who love it, I wonder how many of you have stood outside while someone drove by you with it on. It sounds so phony and it’s fairly obvious that it’s a speaker noise and not the drivetrain.

The first time a Taycan drove by me with it on, it was so loud and fake that it just screamed ‘look at me!’ To me it’s akin to people who think the loud pipes on their moto makes them cool, when most people just think they’re a douche canoe. It’s the brap brap brap of EVs.

i only spec-ed it on my new car not because i plan on using it but because it was a relatively inexpensive option that could affect resale. i know there are a lot of, umm people, out there that appreciate those sounds.

The first thing I do when I get in the car is turn my dial to “individual” so I can hear that beautiful rumble! 99.9% of the time on other than when on calls … I can’t understand why everyone doesn’t love it! Sound is so important to the whole driving experience but each to their own …

When I had a demo of the Taycan I switched the sport sound off after about 30 seconds, and the same even at the PEC Silverstone driving fast. I didn't bother to spec it on my CT4S as a result.
If you do like it do you leave it on most of the time though, or only in certain circumstances?

I use it in these circumstances

1. Driving aggressively for fun

2. Driving around in parking lots to alert pedestrians with their faces buried in their phones that I'm actually there and get out of the way

3. When I'm driving home to alert the kids playing on the street in my neighborhood that something is approaching so I don't run anyone over.
