Not meant as a moany post! As 18 months in now and very few issues, this car is still amazing in every way but lost the PCP /charging planner yesterday for 24 hrs on a very long run it’s back today ? It's happened a few times and normally during a long trip when I really need it! Seems to take 24 hrs to come back? Anyone experienced similar and / or know why? Is it likely a car issue or Porsche server connectivity problem.

You add a destination /select route and it calculates battery usage and suggests suitable charging stops /navigates to them and conditions/warms the battery ready for max charge rate at arrival – just got the whirring circle for charge planner rest of NAV worked fine

I know what it does but just curious how it manifests - not seen this issue before.

thanks i wondered if the PCP needs connection to Porsche server and I was just experiencing issues relating to them? I know the on-line radio service has been down for several days

How far away was the destination? I find if you give it too long of a trip, it will just spin forever. Try picking a closer waypoint and nav to that, then adjust to the final destination when you're closer.

@rs38 pointed out that after the uPdate, behavior of the charging planner changed. From the TSB for ANA6 uPdate:
Porsche Taycan PCP (Porsche Charge Planner) Issues 1672507556321

I don't know if this 4 times entry thing is a one-time action after the uPdate process, or means that charging planner behavior after the uPdate has changed permanently.

Charge planning needs to be "charged?"

That doesn't make any sense!

I had the same on Thursday for the morning during a long trip. It was fixed by that afternoon and I've not had it since.

Yes I found similar when driving to Italy, had to get closer to destination to connect,

I've now had this quite a few times. It seems there is some correlation, at least for me, when the car initially determines it needs to stop somewhere to charge (or I've added it as a stopover). When I do this, it then seems to not be able to plan correctly after this point and then takes 24hrs to reset.

Today the PCP was working fine and I entered my charging point as the end destination to see if that would avoid what seemed to be a result of stopovers. I navigated to the charging point and then proceeded to charge and turned the car off. When I restarted the car and entered a new destination it then failed to work. I managed to get a crap picture of it - this is how it was for 2.5 hours of driving.

My car was at my Porsche garage recently and I mentioned it to them. They checked out the software but couldn't find a problem. Clearly there is a problem and it seems to be getting worse for me.

I think there may have been an issue last weekend as I experienced similar and assumed a server-side glitch. Not retried since so this is only a theory.

Mine has happened more than since last weekend. I'm trying to nail down the variable involved and whilst I can't say I've done that 100%, it does seem to be prevalent on routes that involve stopovers, either ones I've planned, or charging stops that the PCP plans. I can't work out if it is because I invariably charge for longer than it wants, or something else though! Regardless, it's pretty annoying.
