I've searched far and wide for this answer and still can't figure it out.

If I'm on a call, I'd just want a button on the steering wheel (or in the driver screen) that I can hit to mute my voice input on a call.

Does this not exist?

The manual says - under PCM - that muting is achieved by pressing and holding the rotary volume button on the steering wheel. You can try the same during a call?

With Apple CarPlay, the mute button for the call is on the center/PCM display - irrespective of which app I’m using for calling.

Just press the volume control on the steering wheel to mute rather than roll it to increase or decreas volume.

There will also be options in the PCM to drop the volume during a call. .
