Me too. Thinking of a new BMW X5 hybrid. This is the first Porsche for me and such a bad experience I'm not sure I want to order another. I cannot believe the arrogance of the Porsche factory to do this to their customers and dealers and not bother informing them. Nothing else this expensive get's scuh bad customer service.
I have a 2019 X5 Hybrid and have an order in for my first Porsche too. Can't say that BMW have been great, nor has the car either. Mine was missing 2 or 3 options when delivered and has been back in for service/repair so many times in the 3 years I have had it. Driving on pure electric I don't get about 2 miles/KwH and when on a 200 mile run (full battery full fuel) I will get 37mpg on average. Over 38K miles, I have averaged 48mpg, which is not bad for a 2.5 ton beast, but not a model of environmental efficiency.

New X5 hybrid ups the game on electric only mileage, but to me it does neither the EV of ICE well enough, but is an OK wallowing barge to use on electric for short trips, then guzzle fuel for longer ones.

Each to their own, but happy to chat more in DM if you want to

Thanks yes I agree with your assessment and good to know from someone who has one. Of course the LCI gives a lot more power too but as you say it does neither well and I'd just about settled for a full EV but tempted to go back to my original plans of an X5. Maybe I'll just buy a used Taycan. Trouble is in France there are few for sale so I might have to be prepared to buy from Netherlands, Belgium or Germany. Thanks

BMW did this to me also, I had a 2023 iX M60 that was completed 6/22/22 that I did not pickup until 12/28/22. Sat outside the Dingolfing factory for 4 months, with zero communication. My SA had to eventually escalate to Us BMW distribution in New Jersey, it had never been assigned to a shipper, then sat for 1 month in Bremerhaven, and another month in Houston. Zero communication on a $120,000 (US) vehicle. We ended up taking it, but got rid of it 2 months later, tons of issues, and BMW wouldn't comsider buying it back because there is an open air bag recall on every single iX made. Long story, however don't think that Porsche is being more difficult than other luxury brands, at least you know what the problem is.

I never thought we’d be complaining about getting 48 mpg from a SUV.
That is 48mpg with about 40% of the 38k miles done on electric. Not sure how the car works out equating between petrol and electric, but If I do a drive on fuel only, it is generally around the 23-26mpg

The only reason I know of my problems with my order is on here. Zero information from Porsche France an my dealer has tried to escalate this. They just don't care. Every car they make is sold to a dealer already so they don't care about the end customer.

yesterday i complained on the forum but i just received a good call. there was a big batch of heaters delivered apparently. so mine was in the production week of 28th feb till 03th march and it received the heater now. So the car was loaded on the truck yesterday on its way to Belgium. agreed on a delivery after Easter holiday as we go on holidays anyway. so maybe more good news for others to come.

Thant's great news. Mine was was made before yours mid February. I assume you car is at Stuttgart. My SA says my car is at Crueztwald the French haulier so getting an heater fitted there is a problem so I'm not expecting mine to be fixed any day soon.

My car arrived @Grimsby 8 days ago. Currently sitting behind a mountain of cars. SA cant tell me when its likely to be transported to the dealer. FFS!!!!!!
Original estimate was 10th March Pick up, then moved to the 22nd - today.
Now showing 14th April and ive been advised this is looking optimistic at this stage.

I came from a Cayenne E-hybrid. I appreciated its utility and admired its technical capability but found myself not fully exploiting that, because I enjoyed the serenity of electric-only mode rather than the frenzy of full ICE power. If another hybrid SUV were a desirable candidate for me, I wouldn't consider a Taycan as an alternative, and I wouldn't be spending anything near Taycan money.

Yep. I found out yesterday that the month delay at port of Houston is now September or October. I told them there is no way I would take ownership of that car after it’s been sitting on a lot in Houston for 7 months. The car would significantLu depreciate in value, would be obsolete model year, etc. I have already spent $1600 putting in the car charger. Plus we may now lose out on the $7500 tax credit since they will have changed to the new American made battery rule. They offered me a “similar” Taycan coming in May. It had like half the options of my custom order. And Porsche was going to give me a whopping $3000 discount on it. No thank you. So my option right now is to lease something they have in stock and then order a new 2024 model when available. It’s an unbelievably bad look for Porsche.
I canceled my order and bought a loaded used Turbo with low miles for less than the MSRP on a comparably priced new 4S. Figured if I had to wait a year and get a year old model delivered I may as well just buy a year older model and be done with it.

Good move I’m thinking of doing the same but sadly nothing available in France at the moment.

Just spoken to my UK dealer - Porsche are supposed to provide the dealers with updates this Friday - mine is one of the many still stuck at Emden waiting for the heater. There was even a mention that Porsche "may" offer something to customers in a similar position - I joked whether that would be some Porsche embossed blankets :mad:
