Can you get the frunk/froot/bonnet to open using a gesture? I just can't seem to get it to work.
It sometimes takes a few attempts but I always get it open when I try it.

At the risk of me sounding like a right plonker asking this, what exactly is the gesture that you use and where?

It seems to be. I've read that lots of folk got it. What I dont get is that Porsche doesnt' seem to know that the car has it, as it's still offering it to me for £1300 on the FOD store.

There's a PCM option to enable the gesture within Comfort Settings if paid for.

Stand in the middle of boot or tailgate with the keys in your pocket, swing your leg inwards under the rear bumper and step back. The boot or tailgate should open. Same procedure to close.

It is a Comfort settings option to enable.

It is under "Comfort and usability" in the new configurator.
It is £329 extra on the CT4S, which is the one I looked at.
The configurator is a mess. If the option is standard on the base Taycan and GTS ST then it is surely standard across the range.

If Porsche has now split it into 2 options then that's a different story.

The image I pasted this morning was from the standard spec sheet of the base model taken from the configurator.

That works. It’s the front-end swipe I’m struggling with.

That's for the front. The gesture is for the boot / trunk / tailgate.

I have the option and works well.
He was asking about the front.

UPDATE! Got it working. Seems my problem was actually touching the car instead of just hovering over it as I swipe.

Thanks for your help lads!

Any of you chaps who scammed the free comfort access have the extra button in the boot lid for ‘close AND lock’ that you get if specced from factory?
Or is it just software you have scammed as if a FOD and you still have the one button like me (just close).
I am thinking of FOD for free 3/12 to see if I keep it for free after 3/12 like Innodrive and ALK.
Nice extra feature, I am not too bothered. But if i get it for free why not!?

Prices have gone up in the new configurator. A few days ago I noticed an increase just to the base price but with the new configurator today I can see price increases to the options too.

My spec has gone from £123,063 to £128,967 and an increase of £5,904.

Ordered Jan 2023 showing ready for September 2023
just saw this too... price up again with the new configurator which has added ~£1k more again.

current build (4S) now up by £7k (6%)..

not sure why I'm even looking at this given I won't see my car for another year or so! god know what will have happened by then ?

The issue is Porsche's wording. It's like the Front & Rear heated seats option. The wording implies that without ticking that box you don't get front heated seats when obviously you do, as standard.

Ambient lighting has always been part of the standard spec, looks like this and is white LED only. The only parts that remain lit when driving are the bottom of the door cards.

The £330 Ambient Lighting option looks like this and gives you full colour control, light up cupholder rings etc:

Much like other paid-for options higher models such as Turbo & Turbo S may have the paid-for version included as part of the standard specification for that particular model.
