Jasper, this is great! My 4S doesn't arrive until end of May (fingers crossed) do you know if this functionality will be available on the AppleWatch?

Thanks! Yeah I have it through the home app on the watch. I attached some photos. I’m dutch, so the photos probably aren’t useful at all but the options you have is that you could see the current charge state through the occupancy sensor. And toggle Direct Charging and Preheat on/off through a switch. I’m planning to add lock/unlock features, but need to find a secure way

This is great. I have an older Apple Watch so I can’t use the app that another forum member created. This works great for me though. I just tested turning direct charging on/off and it worked as expected.

+1 for the request to get SoC in its own widget (is that even the right term?) so that it can be used in automations.

@marko77 @Hirschaj Good news, a new version has been released with SoC as humidity sensor, enjoy!
I had a little trouble getting this to work right at first. I used the standard plugin upgrade functionality in Homebridge and the devices did not show up properly. Here's how I got it to work right...

1. Delete old Taycan plugin
2. Clear any cached accessories that reference the old plugin
3. Verify removal of all accessories in apple home app
4. Install latest Taycan plugin to Homebridge
5. Restart Homebridge and check that the new accessories have been added

I'm planning to use the new SoC humidity sensor with my Hubitat home automation to remind me to charge the car when SoC is getting low.

@Jasper4S thanks for creating this!

I integrated the new SoC “humidity” sensor into my home automation system. When SoC gets below 35%, HomeKit turns on a virtual switch and my light switches show me a visual reminder to plug the car in. When the SoC goes back over 35% the virtual switch is turned off and the light switches return to their normal state.

@Jasper4S I'm seeing an issue since the last update where the plugin stops updating. Here are the log entries. It looks like the plugin will work until it hits an authentication error and then it just stops communicating altogether.

Thanks for the debug data! I will look into it. Do you mind sharing your node and npm version?

@Hirschaj I just released a new version, it should fix the issue! I did notice that during testing (and therefore a lot of API calls) that the error more often after a while. What is your 'pollinterval' setting value? It could be set too low which could trigger an endless authentication issue loop
